My eyes.

Can't argue with that. He's partly a product of Nellie's system, where scoring trumps all. But an elite shooter would do the actual Thunder a world of good.

dang,,,i thought he'd fall

Truck's search for a 3PT threat should be a fun draft day subplot. If you end up with Kapono I think you'll have failed.

Yea I was thinking Morrow ealier, but took Afflalo instead, he has a more all around game, than Morrow. Who as mentioned is a product of Nellie ball more so to speak.

Although, I think the better play would have been to protect Dalembert from the outset. Would rather have Sam than Z.

I encouraged him to protect Brand, who you'll notice was drafted in the early part of the 2nd round. But, yes, the idea is the same. Why protect Speights?

Thaddeus young would have been my other keeper but he plays identical to iggy. Brand wasn't fitting into the Philly system and is injury prone and dally has the ridiculusly bad contract. I liked Speights but not sure he could develope enough or if big z or someone else that's a vet big would be there at my next pick 4.16

Well, his textbook jumpshot isn't a product of Nellie-ball. I didn't mean to [dang] him with faint praise. Have to love a kid who is smart off the ball, understands his role, and works hard on both ends.

Afflalo is the better defender though. (And a better ball handler though that's not saying a lot.)

But if you had doubts about Speights and wanted to move him, why not protect Brand instead, he'd benefit from a change of scenery and would've brought back a higher pick? Heck, seems Young also would've brought back a higher pick. (But I'm down on him.)

Or as Lucky pointed out just protect the veteran center you had, Sammy Dalembert?

  • I left Indiana. Because it was horrible.
Just got back...pick forthcoming, likely the BPA from Hollinger's rankings...
CB Draft Bucks: Chris Paul, Dwight Howard, Tobias Harris, Zach LaVine, Aaron Afflalo, Jeff Green, Donatas Motiejunas, Jarrett Jack, Frank Kaminsky, Lance Stephenson, JaVale McGee, Shane Larkin, Nick Young

DKC Bucks. Also terrible.

I think this is more of a case of thinking that a player would be more attractive because of his size, age and progress.

Hollinger says...

Sweet Lou Williams

Which works, a platoon of him and Calderon at the 1 makes sense to me.  I actually was looking at him last round, so I'm cool with it. Hollinger also said Nazr Mohammed first, which I quickly dismissed.

Also, just because:

As you sit through this, you can't help but thinking "Yes!  My guy is still there!!!!!"

Then notice that there are 9 more chances for your guy will not be there.

It's always good to have that backup plan.  (or plans)
