I need some help understanding this trade proposal

Why exactly does New York trade the only two point guards on their team except Chris Duhon to a team within their division for two expiring contracts when Robinson is an expiring and Douglas' contract is tiny

Wouldn't it make more sense for New York to try to force Boston to take on Jared Jeffries' or Edie Curry's contract as well if they want Nate Robinson so bad, which I don't think they do

While the trade works it makes little sense for New York to do it
Pick 2 Knicks

PG: George Hill, Ty Lawson
SG: Ray Allen, Anthony Parker, Quentin Richardson
SF: Grant Hill, Matt Barnes, D
PF: Zach Randolph, Kenyon Martin, Jon Brockman, Dante Cunningham
C:  Nene Hilario,   Own rights: Nikola Pekovic IR: Kyle Weaver

Unfortunately for you, looks like DA does. ;D

Boston gets a backup PG and bench spark, plus a versatile F that can play the 4, and another athletic wing to play w/ Quis.

NYK gets cap relief galore for next year's LBJ sweepstakes.

SAC saves money in a couple years but also gets BBD to play alongside Caspi and Hawes. Entice them with draft picks.
Can't stop, Rondo!

Danny already said no to Noiconi's once, he's not going to change his mind now.

I also don't like giving up a 4/5 with Davis considering Rasheed and KG are both ailing.

Aside from BBD's buzzer beater last year, and his solid performance against Detroit in our championship year, he has sucked; specially since hurting his hand. He has no jumper, despite that one lucky shot. He's "OK" in the post, but he's so nonathletic that he gets stuffed alot. I'd rather make use of talent this year(despite the ages/contracts) and win a championship. We have our future PG and C, we can find a young PF later on...

He averaged 16 and 6 in the playoffs last year, while averaging 7 and 4 during the regular season in 21 mpg. Nowhere in there do I see "suck".

We incorporated our beloved Starbury as well, so I don't see how this guy should pose a problem. Get him. Let's see what he can do for us.
We did?

I thought Starbury was a bust.  Maybe the games looked different over there.  ;)

Its not about having a young player for the future, its about having enough at the 4/5 to compete this year.

Plus I'm not wild about trading away our only good offensive rebounder.

Harhar :]

Might not have worked *game* wise, but I was talking about his personality ;)

woow---on the starbury tangent: its kinda funny how people conveniently forget this guy was outta bball for like a year!  green team was lucky to get "anything" from this guy. its not like he was just trash....thats that haterrade...and yes the guy is nutcase--and pleeeease Dannyboy...we need "SOMEthing" coming off the bench in addition to what we got.  Injuries not withstanding, my team is looking real shaky right now....

My comment on the possibility of the Celtics denying their interest was walked all over.  ::)

...If Nate comes, Nate comes, but the Celtics have denied what the media's said before. Just saying.

Nonsense.  That's just the haterade talking.  Baby has not sucked.  He played well throughout the playoffs, not just one game and you know it. ::)  He's been pretty good since coming back from injury too, despite being rusty and not in game shape.

I say get Nate because he will help us and because the Lakers are scary enough already.  Plus I'm a little tired of the House show.  He's so one dimentional ridiculous.  He's less than 6 feet and we sill always have to find someone else to dribble the ball up the court when he's in.

House is 6-1 and Robinson is 5-9, so from a height point of view, Eddie clearly has the edge on Nate...

I don't think Nate would a be difference maker for a contender. He could be a big boost for the Lakers since their PG's are awful but on our team, I don't see a big need.
Nate can bring the ball up the court, House can't.

Nate is an undersized ballhog, House can make passes.

Drucci, i think you may be being a little strong on this subject. I'm not sure Nate is a 'cancer'. Let's remember he's playing for an organization that's been a total mess and has shown no dedication to winning, but rather to cutting salery.

Also, Nate is not as poor a passer as you make him out to be. And Eddie is. Eddie really can't pass. Nate clearly prefers to shoot but he's certainly a more dynamic player than Eddie.
