What's the Last Movie You Watched?

28 Years Later.

From what I have read after seeing it, this is an extremely divisive film. People either loved it or hated it.

I thought it was excellent. There is a major tonal shift about 2/3 through the movie where it goes from an action packed horror thriller to an emotionally gut wrenching and character/theme driven story, which I thought was executed well.

I don't know what scale to judge this one on.

Is it "97% Rotten Tomatoes" good?  Probably not, if for genre alone.  It's a little long, and let's be honest, the plot is thin (although there's obviously some symbolism at play).

But, it's well-acted, slickly directed, has some good music and dance, and has that period throwback appeal.  And, as far as the genre, it's most intelligent than most.  It's a very good watch, even if it could be cut down by 20 minutes.

It was all over the place.  I liked the parts I liked and saw where they were going with it.  I liked the music, the acting and the back story, but main action just seemed completely disconnected.  Maybe that was the point?

Better than the first two (and very much its own movie) imo.

Count me as disappointed.  The first two are at the top of my zombie movie list, so I was really looking forward.  It just felt very disjointed and scattered.  I didn?t 100% buy into the kid?s sudden transformation into being a man when his momma needed help, so I wasn?t that invested in his character.  I thought some of the action was excellent and others just completely out of place.  I really liked the mini society living in the island and I thought they were going to focus more on their inner workings and plight.  I was invested in that part, then they abandoned it. 

I wanted to like it more.

Yeah, I read a review that said that it's like two different movies that didn't completely merge.  The review said that's a current trend in horror movies, although I don't have enough of a frame of reference. 

I think I envisioned it as a Mississippi Delta gangster movie, with the antagonists likely to be the Klan.  And then, instead of the Klan, they symbolically turned the antagonists into monsters / vampires.  But, whether symbolic or realistic, the problem was probably resolved too tidily. 

That was one of the cooler renditions of Rocky Road to Dublin I've seen.

Jurassic Park: Rebirth.

it's ok.  reason for humans going to dinosaurs this time is pretty thin (as has been the case for the last several movies) but the action is decent.  Franchise could have stopped with the prior one.

Just saw Jurassic World Rebirth.

Not bad!  They kept the stroy going and didn't get hung up on those long drawn-out battles or fights.  ScarJo was really good but Manuel Garc?a-Rulfo was terrible in this one.

Saw Heads of State on Amazon Prime. Some extremely unbelievable scenes but funny enough. Good mindless entertainment but not the kind of movie to watch in a theater.

Anybody seen F1? I have been into F1 since Drive to Survive and I am contemplating whether to watch it. I heard it's extremely Hollywood with some very unbelievable scenes that makes F1 fans shake their heads, but I also heard the action scenes makes it really cool to watch in a big theater and I wouldn't want to miss that opportunity.

I too watched Heads of State, I thought about the same thing, it was entertaining but I would not do a re-watch.  Definitely has a bit of twist to it and yes, he does look good with a gun in his hand.
