The local theater here has $6.50 Tuesdays during the winter.  I've been going with my adult nephew every week or two to see a movie, just for something to do.  Even if it's all bad movies.

A few weeks ago we saw The Wolf Man.  Not good! It had some decent gore effects.  It had one of the most glaring oversights I'd ever seen in a movie.
Dang I want to see it, now I don?t know lol

It is what it is.  I didn't hate it.  My nephew and I have had some fun rehashing the movie since.  Go see it and see if you come up with the same conclusion as me.

I didn't like that movie. Very boring. There are some cool scenes of Boston though.

Talking about Boston, did anybody see the new Netflix movie about terrorist closing Tobin Bridge? It's one of those low budget action movies but it wasn't awful. Don't expect greatness but if you are in a mood to suspend belief and watch action movies, it's a good mindless movie. Can't even remember the name of the movie and Tobin looks very little like the actual bridge.
Baby Jesus!

Thinking of seeing this tonight for bargain Tuesday night.  Low expectations are OK for bargain night.

Saw Minecraft Sunday night. It was enjoyable due to the atmosphere. Kids were losing their minds. Clapping, cheering , laughing , saying the lines with the characters . I know zero about it. I never played it. I only went ?cuz the kids wanted to .
It was so crazy I really have no idea if I would still think it enjoyable otherwise. I haven?t been in a theatre experience like that since maybe Rocky 4 or Return of the Jedi.
I read in sone theatres people were actually booing the Superman trailer because it WASN?T Minecraft yet on the screen.

my wife and I went to see it yesterday.  it was absolutely horrible.  only the second movie we've ever walked out of.  lasted about 50 minutes hoping it would get better but just got worse.

Superman trailer was the highpoint of the experience

My wife and I watched Sing Sing last week. Disappointing.  If it hadn?t come with the hype of a best picture and best actor nominee I probably would have thought it an OK watch. But it just wasn?t that good.  Good concept and I like the use of ex-cons in the cast, but I didn?t find it to be well-written or compelling.  If watched with no expectations it?s probably good enough to spend a couple hours on just based on it having an interesting enough concept.

the movie was horrible enough but the kid sitting next to my wife smelled like he hadn't bathed in days (our dog doesn't smell as bad when he finds something stinky to roll over in the yard   :P )   and kept bumping into her during the movie to the point where she had to tell him off.  I could understand why the parents (or the grown-ups escorting the group) sat as far away from the kid as possible -- 4 kids between them and Stinky.

My kid is really into Minecraft, pretty obsessed with it, and when he first saw the trailer, he wasn't too impressed with it. He still wants to see it and they are planning a day to do it but I think he has low expectations. To me, Dogman looks funnier.

I saw Moana 2 for the second time and it was actually better this time around. The first I was a bit more confused but now it makes more sense.

Last as a family movie, Hulu has this movie called My Friend Penguin that is a true story about a penguin that gets lost and saved by a man, and every winter he would return to the same spot. Movie is entertaining enough (not a great movie but good rainy day movie) but the interesting thing is that the real story happened not far from my city in Brazil which I didn't know. They are from an island off the coast of Rio and the people there are basically island people, with small villages surrounded by jungle. Cool area.

Went and saw Novacaine on bargain Tuesday at the theater last week.  Oooffff.  It had some potential, but they leaned very heavily on the "let's do this gross thing now" shtick.  They did at least have the honesty to make fun of themselves a bit for doing that, but still it wasn't quite hitting home.  They were going for a bit of Deadpool humor I think,  Definite meh...

Saw "Warfare" in IMAX...loud, disorienting, and has no plot...not an enjoyable watch.
