Just saw it. It?s a lot more complicated than the first one and overall, not as good. The visual and the music was good, and the action scenes were entertaining. I think part of it being in the theater helps improve the experience but movie was mediocre at best.

"Heretic." I really like it. The whole movie was pretty much just dialogue between 3 characters, so if thats not your thing, dont see it. I found it extremely engaging, and I think it's the first time I ever liked Hugh Grant in a movie.

Carry-On on Netflix.

It's a watchable thriller.  I liked it, even if the plot wouldn't stand up to a lot of scrutiny.

Same.  Lead actor will always be "Eggy" to me.

It seemed like they pretty much went with the Die Hard mold and set it in an airport.

So they ripped off Die Hard 2?  ;)

Haha.  It's got the same vibe as a lot of those 1990s thriller movies.  A few were even set on airplanes:  Con Air, Air Force One, Passenger 57.

Nowadays they seem to turn those movies into series (i.e., Hijack).  There's something to be said to wrapping everything up within 2 hours.

Just finished watching Carry-On based on your comment.  Thanks, I enjoyed it.

Wicked.

Absolutely horrendous.  Bad songs and acting. Completely predictable.

I'm assuming you haven't seen the Broadway show?  Or, weren't a fan of it?

I haven?t. My wife had but she was equally unimpressed with the movie. She read the book several years ago and loved it.

The movie was just so High School musical does Harry Potter. There wasn?t much original about it. And the songs were just blah, nothing catchy. The dancing was good, unique choreography especially in the big dance scenes. Also vivid big screen visuals, lots of color. But it was bad, I tried to like it while watching but nothing ever really popped and after as we digested it for the next 24-48hrs, I just hated it more and more.
