The big three could make almost any NBA point guard look good. I think Rondo is a nice player but I would not over commit to him. Wasnt to long ago we had players making large salaries that were contributing very little. If possible I would like to see a sign and trade maybe Rondo and Baby for D Wade. If Rondo is combative and overpaid in the future it could really handicap this team.

They didn't make Cassell or Marbury look good.

Garnett and Marbury never played a game together in green. Not sure about how many minutes Cassell logged with Garnett,Pierce and Allen all on the floor at the same time.

Miami would never do this deal.

He logged plenty of minutes with all three in the playoffs. Didn't do very well. Marbury played with two HoFers and still looked like garbage.

I agree that Rondo's weaknesses are covered by the talent of the Big 3. But he's only 23, his potential is off the charts. He already does all the things that are tough to find in PGs very well. He runs the offense efficiently, he has great floor vision, and he can make every pass.

Now he just needs to make free throws and get his jump shot to respectable levels.

Even though Rondo has played better since he has better players around him, he played pretty well his rookie year, and showed flashes that he could be a really good PG in this league.

To win a title, everything has to go perfect. He was the starting point guard for us. You put Chris Paul, Deron Williams, guys like that, and you never know. We might not have won that title. Rondo deserves to get his money, but not that MAX money or the contract that Lamarcus Aldridge got from Portland. 5 years, 50 million is pretty respectable for him, and some might even argue that we are overpaying with that.

Rondo is a above average nba level point guard. If you put him on the knicks and put duhon on the celtics do you think we would be any worse? It seems like he gets knocked to the floor every game sometimes mutiple times in one game. How he plays along with his small frame make him a high risk for injury. Added with his prior combative attitude and a 50+ million dollar contract just doesnt sound too good to me. I only see his value decreasing from here and we could prolly get some nice pieces for him.

Garnett and Marbury never played a game together in green.

But when they played together in 'sota, it made Starbury think he was going to be the best PG in the league
Anything is possible!!!

Let's not forget that Tyron Lue is sitting behind the C's bench every night now as the "Whatever He Is".   ;)

I smell a Sam I Am role.

Funny. Before the Charlotte game I think I read that Felton would be as effective for us as Rondo running the offense.

If you think that Rondo is only good becuase he's playing with 3 HOF's then you don't know what your looking at out there. He's a key part of the front-line of our defense, he's the quarter back of our offense and his willingness to pass and setup the other team is beautiful.

Whats your excuse for when he's out there leading the second unit and still hits his assist numbers and leads us to a victory???

Rondo contributes very little? Get serious.

By the way, I'm fine with doing a sign and trade of Rondo for Wade or LeBron...
