Remember, KG didn't even want to come here until after Danny traded Wally away. Doesn't that tell you anything?

To be fair, that was pure speculation.  KG never actually said that (publicly anyways).

But ultimately, I agree, Wally and KG don't get along, and while I don't think that would preclude them bringing in someone who could help, I don't think Wally helps enough to put the team's chemistry on the line.
Well, no nothing was publicly stated but then again, it wouldn't have because that stuff rarely ever is but there was media speculation because that was definitely one of the problem with Boston as a KG landing spot before the trade. The other thing is it now put old friend Ray Allen in Boston which was then a no brainer for KG.

So, apparently Wally turned down a deal from Denver for the minimum.

If that's the case, then he may as well just retire.  He won't get a better offer than a contender giving him guaranteed money.

He's definitely not getting more than the minimum. I think he'll cave and eventually sign with someone.

I see no reason for him not to wait until January, holding out for more money, and when he doesn't get it, then he can pick his team, and go for a half season and the playoffs.

I am sure there will be plenty of contenders who would love to add him for the minimum later in the year.

It could also be a minutes issue. He probably wants to go somewhere he can get some burn, that might not have been the case in Denver.

Should we start the countdown for how long it takes him to sign with the Jazz?

I dunno, his competition in Denver would be Arron Afflalo and JR Smith, neither of which are really ideal starters...he'd get some burn.

I think its a different kind of mins issue. I think he doesn't want to play any until the All-Star break.

No he wouldn't see the court. They already have Korver covering their white guy who's a poor defender but can shoot.

Actually, Korver is a pretty good defender.  And I think if they trade Boozer, they may need another wing, since Kirilenko will play a lot more PF.  And Wally is the best wing out there right now.

Korver plays good team defense, he gets beat off the dribble extremely easily though.

Very similar to Wally when they were the same age actually.

I wonder if this type of thinking will eventually backfire.  P.J. Brown was a relative success story after a long layoff.  Starbury was an abject disaster as a player, however.  Six months without playing probably is going to have a negative effect on almost any player's game.

If Wally sits out, I think there's a chance that teams say they have no interest in an all-shoot, no defense guy whose skills are already in decline.  With Wally's current negatives, why would a team want to add "rusty" and "disrupting team chemistry" to the mix?

I can't believe he turned down 1.4M from Denver.

What's he holding out for? More than 1.4M? Do you guys think that offer will come knocking on his door from now till Feb?

I am not sure how many minutes he would have gotten in Denver. I am also not sure why they would have wanted him. It seems like a pretty odd fit. Perhaps he ends up in Utah as one poster has suggested. Jerry sloan does love shooters! Him and Korver could stand on opposite ends of the three point line and let deron williams penetrate. Oh how fun. I wont think of the defensive fallout for that.
