The Jazz should sign Wally. I think he'd do well in their offense and they need an extra wing.

For those who say Wally can't play a lick of defense, he did do a pretty good job against Ray Ray the last couple of years.

And while he's definitely lost a few steps, he could definitely still help a team with his shooting, i.q., and even his finishing on occasion.

That's not me saying he'd fit with the Celtics.  I don't know if he'd have a role on this team.  Would I take him for the end of the bench?  Probably.  Maybe.

But I'll leave it up to Danny and Doc on this one.

True.  He can't move his feet but he's a pretty wide and strong guy for his position.

I'd like to have him as a backup in case of injury. But we still have Giddens and Walker, and I think the Hudson-House-Daniels combo at the 1-2-3 could work very well. And besides, KG hates him.

IMO that's because Ray is the perfect person for Wally to guard.  Ray does not have fast feet either and is not beating anybody off the dribble.  Most other guards would abuse Wally... err.. "do" abuse him.

In terms of Boston, Wally's problem would be that we just simply don't need him.  When you look at what he brings we already have it:

3pt shooting - check
Size on defense - check
Guy his size that can post smaller players - check (see Marquis)

Wally had tons of help on Ray when our teams played. They doubled him on the catch, hedged on screen ignoring the screener. Their game plan was to take him out of the game with help.

I do not want Wally on our team what so ever. He is trash. Someone will sign him though.

No thanks. Wally was a horrible player with the Celtics when he was here three years ago. I am not sure why he would be of any use to us now.

The difference is between him being one of the best 5 players on the team, and being the 15th man.

Still I don't think Wally world would add all that much to the team now.

I don't think he was horrible. The team was horrible. He wasn't good enough to be the second best player. But he is good at what he does (which is shooting without any jumping whatsoever).

I think our team defense can hide his mobility limitations much better. He is a strong guy with some size at the wing.

Nevertheless, I would pass on him. I'd rather go with more of a sure thing, or add a young guy like Hudson.
