Thousands of days until he's been on the team's roster as long as Gerald, too, though. Nine pages in four preseason games is a lot. If you took the slope of that line on a graph, it would be pretty steep.

it is going to surprise a lot of you.  hudson will see a lot of game time.  we don't have a lot of depth amongst the 1's, 2's and 3's.   Hudson has been better than ta, jr and bw and if he continues to develop, he will get meaningful minutes so that Marquis can be used as sf instead of pg.

Lester is certainly a keeper seeing as how he's on the roster and made the cut, but he's got a long way to go and I don't think Doc is going to give him much wiggle room (aka time to learn) while he's got Marquis (and Eddie might I add) at his disposal to use as PG's.

Obviously it would be best if Marquis (defensive stopper) and Eddie (natural SG) could play their natural positions, but just in case Lester doesn't get the "UBUNTU" philosophy it's nice to know we have options.

I like Lester, a lot. He's feisty, hustles, and works hard. He knows his role and makes solid decisions with the basketball. He really only shoots when he has to (aka when he's on an island or there's 1 second remaining on the shot clock) and takes care of the ball rather well (given that he's a 25 year old rookie and all).

Here's to hoping he sticks around and plays a larger role than Pruitt, whom I believe is currently unemployed.

One thing to be clear on:  we don't really know if he's made the cut.  We're not sure if his deal is non-guaranteed, partially guaranteed, or fully guaranteed.  Even if he makes the opening day roster, that doesn't mean that he'll survive the season; Brandon Wallace also made the team out of camp, and was later cut.

Anyway, I hope the kid makes the team and can help the team win.  He seems to have a good attitude.

Chris Sheridan said that Hudson's contract is guaranteed, but I'm not sure if I believe that figuring that he's signed for only 1 year.

Technically we may not know if he has made the cut, but I think watching him play it is obvious that he is not going anywhere.  His play in the last game against the Raptors was a thing of beauty.

I think there's a good chance that he will average more mins per game then either Bill Walker or Gabe Pruitt have in a season. I'm not going to get too excited over his pre-season performances, after all Bill Walker was a beast in the pre-season and that didn't translate into the regular season, BUT it doesn't mean these pre-season performances mean nothing. Lester Hudson is in a position where there are mins out there at his position if he can go out and show that he deserves those minutes. Remember, we don't actually have a true backup pg, we have 2 guys that are playing out of position to cover that need, if Hudson can show he can handle the pg spot, then theres no reason he shouldnt get mins. His defense is already there, all he's gotta do is show Doc that he wont make boneheaded mistakes on offense, and so far he has shown that he is a pretty good decision maker. Most players with Lester Hudsons diverse offensive skills don't know how to turn it on and off on offense, they don't know how to play as a secondary option effectively, but Lester Hudson is showing that he can.

I think a lot depends on what happens with him and the other "optionals" over the next 3 games, (and that will be limited, as the starters' minutes are increasing). I love what I've seen of this kid ... he reminds me of a cross between Dee Brown and Reggie Lewis, (the good elements of each), and with the energy and hard-working attitude of a Big Baby or Leon Powe ... hope he gets a chance to prove himself here, and if not, I may see him anyway at the Expo with the Red Claws!
