It seems to me that you can just look at a player and see if they have "it" I don't see any of it in Giddens, and I never saw any in Pruitt. Neither really showed any flashes, yea sure Pruitt had a couple decent games last season but he was easily replaced by Stephon Marbury, who was the worst player on a team that included Mikki Moore. His defense looked ok, but no where near Hudson's.
Both Giddens and Pruitt were way, way too passive. Hudson brought the ball up the court and handed it off like Pruitt did so many times, but still remained active in the offense. Is he likely to be a 20+ point, or even a 15 point scorer? No, probably not, but I do think he'll be able to stick in the league for the next 6-7 years as a real nice role player. I'll take that out of our 58th pick.
He is a keeper for now, I think. Kid's just a raw, ruggedy pit terrier. A product of where he's from and I'm loving it for as long as he remains with the Celtics.
