Five former or current Celtics on the list!! Makes me proud to be a Celtic fan.
Though Tony's inclusion is a head scratcher. I would call him more reckless and dumb than tough, but I guess different people see things differently.
Yeah, I was proud of our boys too. People get on Rosen's case, but he's helped me learn to see the game better and enjoy watching NBA even more. He also seems pretty objective. So while I'm surprised that Tony made the list, I don't think it was because Ainge asked for help raising Tony's trade value.
I keep hoping TA will put it back together. As it is, I think those demanding we trade TA should show a little more subtlety, like vociferously demanding all over Celticsblog that Ainge make some deals to get Tony some help on the court!!!
I used to be fine with Rosen, but honestly, anybody who puts Garnett on his overrated list doesn't hold much water with me.
As for Tony, getting to the basket is his "specialty"? I get that that's what he tries to do since he can't shoot from the outside at all and doesn't know how to pass, but I wouldn't call it a specialty. Shouldn't he get to the line a bunch and, you know, finish if he is a specialist at getting to the basket?
I will give blame for that to his injuries, though. Since the surgeries, he just can't elevate to finish, which puts him in no-man's land offensively - can't shoot, can't finish, not a good passer, doesn't get calls. And unfortunately I don't think he's smart enough to realize he now has limited ability to get up and finish and adjust his game accordingly by learning how to shoot, dribble or pass well.
