Alston was a very good addition for you.

I missed the Prince trade.  Did you trade him to San Antonio?

That changes my opinion a bit.  I like the roster construction more.

lol

seriously though, what do people think of my team?

i should note that i could always start sideshow (assuming this roster stays as is through the trading portion, which i doubt it will) but i like the idea of him as a super sub more.

It allows me to run out a ton of lineups right now, even one like this:

3: beasley
4: hickson
5: sideshow

while goratit rests, ect.

I like your team for exactly the reasons you stated, crownsy.  A good team, with a lot of desirable pieces.

yea, but i didn't see it go through in the thread, figured we were waiting on dons and i'd keep my mouth shut till it went up in case you didn't want people to know you had a secret big man, is that deal official then?

IP is the commissioner du jour. Dons won't be posting anything today.

  • Eagerly Awaiting the Next Fantasy Draft
All right I've picked all my players time to talk about my team
1. Steve Nash/Eddie House/Jamaal Tinsley
2. Corey Maggette/Tyreke Evans/Ime Udoka
3. Luol Deng/Jason Kapono/DeMar Derozan
4. Carlos Boozer/Danilo Gallanari/Chuck Hayes
5. Memhet Okur/DeSagna Diop/Sean Williams

1. At the 1 I have a 2 time MVP who's a great shooter. Eddie will play some spot 1, but will also play some 2 with Evans at the one, Evans is tall enough to guard 2's but play the point. Tinsley if he has his head on straight is a great back up, I picked him so late that if he doesn't fit I will just cut him.

2. Corey Maggette is a big two that can capably guard other twos with his size or speed. Udoka can be brought in for defensive purposes to bother the better 2s in the league. Evans will get time at both guard spots but if he doesn't play well we have the veterans so that he isn't needed at either position.

3. Luol Deng is a long athletic player who can shut down the best threes and score very well. Kapono is one of my deadly three point shooters that I can bring off the bench, along with House and Galanari. DeRozan is a top 10 pick who will start the season as the 3rd string 3 so anything we get from him is a bonus

4. Carlos Boozer is one of the better pick and roll players in the league which is why him and Nash are a match made in heaven. Gallanari is three point shooting four who is perfect for the uptempo setting that GS runs. Chuck Hayes gives us a more traditional tough back up 4, that will play defense and rebound.

5. Memhet Okur is the perfect center to draw out Dwight Howard so that he has to play on the wing and can't block shots. He spreads the floor when we run the pick and roll and will get out and hit 3's when Nash runs. Diop is a tough defensive minded center who can clog space in the middle. Williams is an athletic shot blocker that is perfect for the Golden State system.

Our scheme with the first unit will be a slower version of the current Golden State team. Due to our ability to play in the half court and defend we feel that we will be better served in the playoffs playing this style.
The second unit however will really pick up the pace. Gallanari, Kapono and House are all deadly three point shooters, Evans will be adequate in this department. Evans best ability is his skill at driving with great shooters like these defenders will have trouble helping and he will have a field day.
My team has veterans at every position as well as great young players at every position (3 of which were top ten picks in the past two years).
Can I get more opinions on my team, thank you to scribbles for responding earlier.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19
