Lets switch topics, so how bout that Atlantic?

Colder then you think this time of year, all the rain has really ruined July for beach weather. The fishing's not bad though. I recommend it.

My thinking about the Atlantic hasn't changed too much.

I'm thinking:

1. Toronto
2. Philly
----------- (gap)
3. Boston
4. New York
5. New Jersey

However, I'm going to wait for the press conferences to reach a final conclusion.

Believe me dude its not even that.  You just go straight numb.  I know how those deadliest catch guys feel.  I need a survival suit just to go to the beach up there

I was just sayin this. Why would anyone buy a beach house on water you hate swimming in?

Now that i have my guys in place, i'll post.

Please keep in mind when your evaling that my strat once sattled with the worst picking power in the draft was to be built for the future with alot of young players that championship cailber teams will come calling for in the trading period while still being competitive, allowing us to be movers in that period to aquire fictional future draft picks/ young prospects.

Current Roster:

mario chalmers
eric gordon
trevor ariza
martell webster
micheal beasly
sideshow bob
JJ hickson
earl watson
martin gortat
bobby simmons
sebastion telfair
demarcus nelson
sasha pavlachuck
tony allen

Very, very rough draft of our rotation.

PG: Mario Chalmers (32-36 MPG)/ Earl Watson (10-12 MPG)/ Bassy (DNP-2 MPG)

SG: Eric Gordon (36-38 MPG)/ Martell webster (8-10 MPH)

SF: Trevor Ariza (34-36 MPG)/ Martell Webster (6-10 MPG)

PF: Beasley (32-34 MPG)/ sideshow bob (4-8 MPG)/ JJ Hickson (rest MPG)

C: Gortat (26-32 MPG)/ sideshow (10-20 MPG)

I think the above rotation will certainly not beat the elite 8-10 teams in the draft, but against our division and conference, i think, were we to keep it together with no trades, this team could contend for a low playoff spot. We play very good defense at 3 major positions between chalmers, ariza, and gortat.

we also have a good offensive flow in gordon and chalmers running pick and roles/pops off beasly, ariza/webster slashing, and gordon, ariza, and webster's outside shooting.

Both AV and gortait also get offensive rebounds at a good rate, so they should be fantastic garbage men.

Off the bench we have a super sub in both the front court (Sideshow) and at the wings (webster, who was playing extremely well in portland as the starting SF before last year's foot injury, and as he is all of 20 years old, i see no reason that shouldn't come back to form.)

watson is a solid backup for us, as is hickson. we have good role players in simmons, sasha, bassy and nelson who won't have major roles, but will be available for spot minutes.

Even Tony allen may see the very end of our bench as an emergancy 2/3 defensive sub if we have a rash of injuries.

overall, i think we're fairly solid as a team of the future (though surely not the best)now, and have 4 players im receiving inquires about almost daily from clubs looking to go over the top in the championship voting through thier bench (ariza, AV, gortait, and recently webster.)

Thoughts?

I dunno, I like swimming but I think alot more of it is, during the summer it can me a good amount cooler than down here in MA.  There is so much going on during the summer cause its a beach town, and personally Im a big fan of relaxing on the beach with a book or sports illustrated.  Also, the seafood is amazing.

I used to summer at Old Orchard Beach. yeah, the water was cold but I always thought that's the way the ocean was supposed to be. Then I got older and went swimming in the Caribbean. I haven't gone swimming north of Narragansett Beach in Rhode Island ever since.

Im in York, but I guess I cant complain anymore.  All the Canadiens go to maine to vacation because they think the water is warm!  Gotta adapt to the Toronto state of mind.

I rent a cabin on teh St. Lawrence twice a year, in the late spring and early fall.

The water is never colder than 60 degrees from mid-may to early november. And we're more north than you are.

Solid, although I may start Mason if I were you.  I like the fit better in your starting lineup than Travis Outlaw.

Weaknesses:  two "lane clogging" bigs and a can't shoot PG on the floor at the same time; your backup bigs; relying on Nate Robinson.
