Hot off the press. After much debate and negotiations we've got an official coaching staff ready. The Sacramento Kings are pleased to announce we've been able to lure Bobby Finstock from the Beacontown Beavers. He will be at the helm. If you recall Finstock was able to lead the beavers to the championship behind the do-it-all Scotty Howard and a Center named Chubbs.
Also joining him as assistant coaches, the ever controversial yet great basketball minded Jerry Tarkanian. Also entering the fray is Larry Eustachy. Our athletic trainer will be Denise Austin.

AP (Buffalo) The Buffalo Braves announced today that NBA Hall of Famer Bob Lanier has joined their coaching staff. Lanier joins Hall of Famer Bob McAdoo on Hall of Famer Jack Ramsey's coaching staff. GM Rebus Rankin had this to say, "Bob is a Buffalo native and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our staff." Plus we have the tallest coaching staff in the Fake NBA."

Washington - Sources close to the Washington Boxers have confirmed that representatives of Rick Pitino reached out to Boxers' GM nickagneta about the possibility of returning to the coaching ranks of the NBA. These same sources report that Mr.nickagneta, coincidently, was recently rushed to Georgetown University Hospital with an unstoppable case of laughter. While Mr. nickagneta was in no serious danger he was held overnight for fear that his posterior might fall off.

Watch out, people. This thing is contagious. Serious giggle fits reported in Orlando as well.

GM Rebus Rankin had this to say, "Bob is a Buffalo native and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our staff." Plus we have the tallest coaching staff in the Fake NBA."

AP (SEATTLE) Sonics head coach Tommy Heinsohn sought out reporters after a draft workout today to respond to reports that Buffalo claims to have the tallest coaching staff in the league.

"Who gives a [dang] about height?" said Heinsohn. "Are you kidding me? Cowens, Cooz, me, and Sikma? With Gary and Shawn in the front office? I don't generally like talking about other teams, but c'mon. Congratulations Buffalo you're huge, now play a little defense. Not even Kenny Mauer could have blown that game for us."

Sonics General Manager Hoyo de Monterrey, upon hearing the news, muttered "****mit, Tommy," and ran into his office, closing the door. He could not be reached for further comment.

However, at that point Sonics VPICOBGP Gary Payton poked his head out of the office and declared, "Doctor Jack better call the ambulance." When pressed for further comment, Payton said "I don't even know who this Doctor Jack is or where he went to med school, but we should send him to Washington to work on the fallout from that Pitino fool. Ball don't lie."
"Let me call him," Floyd said.

The man shook his head. "O.J. doesn't give out his cell," he said. "He'll call you."

Signing Doug Flutie is always a good idea (I bet you can't guess where I went to college). The Phoenix suns are going to have a rivalry on their hands if they mention Doug Flutie's name in vain again.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz

We turned him down. We did try to get Gilbert Perreault and Phil Housley though.

Washington - Washington DC police were called to in to an incident at a local charity fundraiser sponsored by the Washington Boxers. The event, who's proceeds were to go to the Ronald McDonald House for support of children with cancer, had a theme where local fans could bring their pet boxers to the event and be judged with the best boxer being chosen to be on the Washington Boxers opening day program.

Police were called in when former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson showed up demanding to be judged as the best boxer and wanting his prize to be a Big Mac. After several near skirmishes and many hours of explaining to Mr Tyson, the former champ finally understood that he was in fact not allowed as a contestant because he wasn't a dog. As an appeasement, Boxers General Manager, nickagneta, bought Mr. Tyson a Big Mac and sent him on his way.,

Just a clarification on the draft times to clear up any confusion.

If you're pick is posted as happening at 9:30 am, then you have until 9:31 am to make your pick.  After that, the following person can jump in and pick.  If the person before you drafting picks at 9:25 am, you can make your pick right away.[/b

Sorry if i'm slow, but it's differetnt than last year?

IIRC, last year:

1. Orlando Magics - 9:30
2. Buffalo Braves - 9:40
3. ...

meant that ORL was "On the clock" from 9:30 --> 9:39 + 59 secs.

But I just want to be clear that wahat you're saying is ORL is "on the clock" from 9:21 --> 9:31?

Just want to be clear b/c it's what caused so much chaos last year.

That's cool, i just wanted to be clear (b/c I misunderstood) I think most folks think of it as when their "on the clock".
