So this year we can't send a list of players to the commish to make a pick for us if we are unable?  We did this last year.  So pretty much everyone has to have an asst. GM or two to ensure there pick is made?

It is a lot of work keeping boards up to date and keeping track of all lists sent and when those GMs pick.

If anyone has a problem just email me -- i'll pick for you  ;)

i can read gooooooooooood :o

I just worry about giving other GMs my 'draft board'  But I guess if they pick after you it's fine, unless they know you're picking their player then trade up to steal your player on your list.

Well, the 1st year we did this, there was no commish, so we had to give picks to someone else.

I suggest someone that you think you can trust that does not pick right around you.

Well hopefully I'll be around for all my picks.

AP- Philadelphia

Rumors are quickly spreading about how the top of round one will play out.  Currently the 76ers are very happy with there position with the 4th pick.  However, they are not opposed to moving down if good value presents itself.

Jsaad's Top 10 Projections:

01. Orlando Magic (GainesvilleCeltic/Lucky17)- Lebron James
02. Buffalo Braves (Rebus Rankin)- Dwight Howard
03. Toronto Raptors (Rondo2287)- Chris Paul
04. Philadelphia 76ers (Kwhit10)- Dwayne Wade
05. Milwaukee Bucks (bucknersrevenge)- Kobe Bryant
06. Boston Celtics (Jsaad)- Kevin Durant
07. Detroit Pistons (Celtic Fan Forever)- Brandon Roy
08. Atlanta Hawks (Gomesfan)- Deron Williams
09. Memphis Grizzlies (kcatthestripe/celticinorlando)- Carmelo Anthony
10. Sacramento Kings (riah32)- Danny Granger

Except I'd probably want Durant though.  ;D

Just to address some concerns expressed last night.

1) Draft time was determined by a vote.  I know its tough for the West Coasters but we're trying our best to accomodate everything and the system isn't perfect.

2) Regarding Ricky Rubio, the best advice I can offer is that draft at your own risk.  There is plenty of uncertainty regarding his situation but he is draft eligible here and you would have his "rights" regardless.

3) I'm not taking draft lists because the workload in running this thing is pretty crazy and I don't want the additional burden of drafting for others or deal with headaches in case of a drafting mistake on my part (as has been an issue in the past).

4) I was serious about PMing back that you have read and abide by the rules. This is done just so that its understood that we're all on the same page and to help minimize any issues that may arise.

Dons,

Any idea when the second half of the first five rounds are going to begin in the afternoon session. The rules stated an afternoon selection after a break and a 9:30 start. Just wondering.

Right now, I'm thinking an afternoon session of 1:30-4pm but may push back an hour.  Not sure yet.  I'd bank on a start of either 1:30 or 2:30, though.
