Why did the early time change to 9:30 am. That's 8:30 in my time zone and 6:30 on the West Coast.

I'll take your #2 overall pick off your hands so you can sleep later :)

I'll get up. Just making an observation.

Could we get an official ruling on Ricky Rubio?

I understand that he's saying he'll be going back to Spain for an additional two years, but many, like myself, believe that if a better situation had presented itself Rubio would've came to the NBA.

I propose one of the following becomes the definite verdict beforehand:

1. He's going to play this season
2. He's going to play in two seasons
3. If a good opportunity presented itself, he'd come this year.

I say the 'official' ruling should be no one knows if Rubio is playing this season, including him. Draft at your own peril.

That's how I'd go.  If a player stays in Europe, you're screwed if you draft him, end of story.

But how do we determine if he's going back to Europe or not?

If the latest report is he is coming to the NBA, he coming to the fake league.

If the latest report is he is going elsewhere, he is going to the fake elsewhere.

I like it, I'm just trying to get some idea on where to place him on my board.

Even though part of the reason I picked Chicago was b/c of the big market, I have no problem with Rubio being available to anyone.

That is just the suggestion of one of the 30 owners.  The Commish has the final say.

If we wanted to make it exciting we could literally do a coin flip for the team who picks him.

Hey I have a question with the rules.

As to Draft Rules #7:
Quote
7) If an owner takes less than 10 minutes to make their pick, the next owner can draft before their designated time if they choose.  However, they are not required to pick until their designated time.

The draft starts at 9:30, and pick times are every 10 minutes, so as of now it goes something like:

Round 1
01. 9:30 Orlando Magic (GainesvilleCeltic/Lucky17)
02. 9:40 Buffalo Braves (Rebus Rankin)-
03. 9:50 Toronto Raptors (Rondo2287)-
04. 10:00 Philadelphia 76ers (Kwhit10)-
05. 10:10 Milwaukee Bucks (bucknersrevenge)

Gainesville picks at 9:30 and then the next pick can happen right after, so Rebus picks at 9:31, Rondo picks at 9:35, and now since Rondo picked at 9:35, does that mean Kwhit10 has only 10 minutes until 9:45 to make his pick and if no player is chosen bucknersrevenge can jump ahead of Kwhit10 and pick at 9:46 since Kwhit10's 10 minutes were up even though Kwhit10 might not have even been online yet since he thought he wasn't picking till 10?

I know the next line says "However, they are not required to pick until their designated time." so I would think this wouldn't happen (but maybe it has to do with missing picks and forfeiting your franchise?).  I just want to make sure I'm clear on this, as I'm not really sure right now  :-\

After 18 months with their Bigs, the Littles were: 46% less likely to use illegal drugs, 27% less likely to use alcohol, 52% less likely to skip school, 37% less likely to skip a class

No.  If the person ahead of you has picked, you can pick early.  Picking early does not chance the scheduled times.

So to get this straight since there was confusion last year.

The pick has to be made by the time posted
Ex. First pick must be made by 9:29:59

Or that person can begin to pick at that time
Ex. First pick can be made at 9:30:00 and must be made by 9:39:59 or the next person can start.

So this year we can't send a list of players to the commish to make a pick for us if we are unable?  We did this last year.  So pretty much everyone has to have an asst. GM or two to ensure there pick is made?
