AP- News out of Toronto is that there is a tentative deal between Toronto and San antonio involving both of their first round picks.  More to come monday....This by far makes Toronto the most active club, having made moves with San Antonio, Portland and Denver thus far

Thought this weekend's long moratorium would be a good opportunity to look back at the draft that was:

First up: The most traded draft selection.

Three picks in last seasons draft changed hands six times. And worth noting, all three picks in question were, at some point, reacquired by a team that traded the pick away, so that (you guessed it) the pick could be traded away AGAIN:

The 20th pick in the 4th round.
First owned by Rondo2287’s Raptors, then the Bobcats, Roy’s Blazers, the Raptors again, Gainesville’s Magic, Evantime’s Warriors, and finally KC’s Wizards who selected Al Thornton (19. Chris Wilcox 21. Luis Scola)

The 18th pick in the 6th round.
Owned by the Bobcats, Roy’s Blazers, Rondo2287’s Raptors, StartOrien’s Pacers, the Bobcats again, Big Al’s Spurs and finally the Heat who selected Brook Lopez (an excellent choice, but who to credit?)  (17. Anthony Parker 19. Nick Young)

And, lastly and least, the 17th pick of the 14 round.
Owned by Gainesville’s Magic, Big Al’s Spurs, Lucky’s Hawks, Kwhit’s 76ers, IP’s Suns, Lucky’s Hawks again, and eventually celticmaestro’s Lakers who selected Speedy Claxton (hardly seems worth all the trouble, hm?) (16. Roko Ukic 18. Ruben Patterson)

I thought deals weren't official/couldn't be announced until Monday? Is Toronto the rogue franchise of the CB Fake NBA?  ;D

An unnamed Cuba Heat representative says the Heat could possibly be shopping their 1st and 5th round picks round picks and looking to acquire another 1st or 2nd rounder.  The same rep also leaked a list of 104 guys on the Heat's draft board that will be published in a London newspaper in the next few days...
