1) i'm not rescinding this trade

2) heres my theory.  while the price may be high. you aint winning much with the 26th best player in the league.  i know have a chance to get a super duper star. and can then build around him with a 3rd round pick and the rest of my picks.  so sure have fun with a late first round pick and some 2nd rounders.  i'll have my choice of kobe, dwade, cp3, dh12 etc.

Not so sure about #2 because you can have a top three player and then not have another pick until the 4th round and you might be surrounding him with very little. Then you look at a guy like me who has late first early second and forecasting down to the 40th pick you might get lucky and get an unreal combo of second tier players.

I was dealing with Rondo for that third pick too but I refused giving up my 3rd rounder. That was the deal breaker. There's just a huge drop of from late third round to late fourth round. At least according to my player ratings.

thats fine... i didnt give up my 3rd rounder either... however if you stand pat at the end of the 1st  have fun at home during the playoffs.  how many super duper stars missed the playoffs this year....

dont even look it up, i'll let you know  0.  thats how many.  the nba is a super duper star league. so now that i am in a position to grab one, i feel that i can baisically punch my playoff ticket.

other than the pistons team that won a championship, every other champion has had a top 5 player on its roster.  so i felt that moving up gives me a chance at a super duper star and then finding the right supporting/role players around him is my challenge.

sure picking at the end of the first round gives you the opportunity to get 2 nice players, 2 nice players without a super duper star usually means your team is home watching the finals on ABC.
Sorry read that trade wrong. I see you did keep that 3rd rounder. Good for you. Well played.

Though I disagree about end of first round. I think end of round one a valuable PG with huge number potential will be there and at the beginning of the second some young wing and second banana big men will be there.

If the players I think will be there will be there, with breakout years my team would be playing in the playoffs.

LAst year the 30th and 31st picks were Brandon Roy and Caron Butler.

Any GMs looking to move out of the first round for a high #2 and later picks, please let Edgar and I know.  We're trying to put some scenarios together.

Word out of the Grizzlies camp is that they're close to a move with the 9th pick but are willing to listen to 11th hour scenarios.

Does that mean that the CrotorNUTS have secured a high 2nd round pick? Is a hand-shake deal in place?

P.S. In addition to their interest in the 2nd round, Houston is now also interested in acquiring another 5th round pick.

To be vague, we're working on some things. ;)

Nah, must be a Gary Tanguay rumor. To wit:

In a surprise announcement, General Manager of the Memphis Grizzlies, KCatthestripe announced that he doesn't plan on trading any of his picks before a player is selected

In response to GM Walker Wiggle quoting GM Atthestripes previous comments about not trading before picks were made, Atthestripe had this to say, " Why you gotta bring up old stuff?"

Chatter from the Grizzlies camp sounds as though they are close to moving from the ninth pick in the draft.

Wow I totally missed that draft order since I haven't checked this thread in a few days. Utah will listen to all offers for any of its picks!

CrotorNats ask for your comprehension , If need to trade with them please send your mesages to both GMs to be sure we are not giving mixed signals here....remember just dial 1-800- great deal, or put "Edgar" and "Roy Hobbs" on your pvt. messenger.
