why give all inside info or desinfo in the case

I thought it might make for interesting discussion and open up trade talks even further. Guess not... no biggie.

AP- Philadelphia

Rumors are quickly spreading about how the top of round one will play out.  Currently the 76ers are very happy with there position with the 4th pick.  However, they are not opposed to moving down if good value presents itself.

Jsaad's Top 10 Projections:

01. Orlando Magic (GainesvilleCeltic/Lucky17)- Lebron James
02. Buffalo Braves (Rebus Rankin)- Dwight Howard
03. Toronto Raptors (Rondo2287)- Chris Paul
04. Philadelphia 76ers (Kwhit10)- Dwayne Wade
05. Milwaukee Bucks (bucknersrevenge)- Kobe Bryant
06. Boston Celtics (Jsaad)- Kevin Durant
07. Detroit Pistons (Celtic Fan Forever)- Brandon Roy
08. Atlanta Hawks (Gomesfan)- Deron Williams
09. Memphis Grizzlies (kcatthestripe/celticinorlando)- Carmelo Anthony
10. Sacramento Kings (riah32)- Danny Granger

Personally, I'd prefer we didn't do things like this.  I'd let each manager pick on their own; I don't want anybody being given hints, etc.

discovered this over at Snopes.com ---- a press release template sent out by the Fake League Offices

Quote

_____ <insert team name here> is very happy with their pick, #___ <insert pick number> in the first round. ________ <insert player you don't intend to take, but who you want people to think you will> will be a great addition to our team. However, if another team is looking to move up, we'd be happy to discuss a fair offer.

Jsaad's Mock Draft --- I think its just more posturing by him to get one fo the guys curiously left out of his top 10...

But I don't agree about the top 8 and thats not even getting into ordering the top 8 players for a franchise draft.

The Memphis Grizzlies appreciate JSaad's mock draft because it gave them insight into the Boston GM's draft philosophy rather than an accurate picture of the top 10 picks.  ;)

I'd prefer no mock drafts either. Why help others.

I move that Jsaad rename the Boston Celtics to the Boston Good Samaritans.

Poor Jsaad haha... Now you know how Mel Kiper, Jr. and Chad Ford feel.

if my math is correct that means Acie Earl and Thomas Hamilton are both on the board (assuming Edgar takes Brett Szabo at #15)....

TP edgar, though i'm dying for some Scrolling Text!!

Well suck it my friend because I have the 15th, and thanks to your misplaced optimism Acie Earl is OFF THE BOARD!! More to follow from Seattle...

AP- (SEATTLE) The Seattle Supersonics got an up-close look at a number of players today in their first predraft workout in anticipation of the draft later this month.

Sonics brass wouldn't say exactly who was in attendance, but a source close to the team indicated they were quietly impressed with William Russell, a 6'10 center from San Francisco. Russell, who projects as a power forward/center professionally, routinely outworked and outperformed his much-publicized counterpart Kansas center Wilton Chamberlain in scrimmages, according to scouts in attendance.

While many mock drafts have Chamberlain going as high as 6 to Boston, Seattle is apparently more interested in the lesser known Russell, whom they feel is a defensive presence they can build a team around.

When asked about his team's interest in Russell, Sonics VP in Charge of Being Gary Payton Gary Payton said "Get the Hell out of my office! Reignman! REIGNMAN! Get these fools out!!"
"Let me call him," Floyd said.
