Hmm...  if Marbury had his usual team-killing effect, it wouldn't be such a bad thing.  Let's hope that he reverses that trend.

is this a done deal or is there still a chance that he doesn't come here?

He got bought out... he will clear waivers in 2 days... he already said he wants to come to Boston. It is like 99% likely that he will be a Celtic by the end of the week.

A vaguely disturbing TrueHoop analysis:

Quote
Something to worry about: Earlier this year, when there was a lot of talk that Marbury might become a Celtic, Boston went into a slump. Some suggested the Marbury talk may have unsettled young Boston guard Rajon Rondo.

Not sure there's any credibility in it, but fodder for thought/discussion.

I think that the days of Rondo looking over his shoulder are done.  I think that he knows that he has the confidence of Doc and his teammates at this point.

Despite the hyperbolic giddiness on this board, Steph's game doesn't measure up to Rondo's in any way, shape or form.

Rondo should understand that after his recent resurgence.

That's ridiculous, Rajon is a cocky dude and would use that as wood in the fire to stoke him self.
