It was a dangerous attempted throwdown and Perk's body language during and after doing it was uncalled for. I can't believe he would do something like that and it reflects poorly on the Celtics.

What body language? Am I missing something? Maxiell got up like he was Ben Wallace going after Ron Artest, punched rondo and was initiating a brawl, Perkins did nothing after the foul but leave the game when ejected...ugh

tattered...it looks like you support this type of behavior from perk, even encouraging it.  so you see nothing wrong with what he did and the fact that he is one of the most T'd up players in the nba?

He threw him down like he was tossing a piece of trash and his facial expression and manner he did the throwdown was wrong. If I was Maxiell I would probably be p---ed as well. I like Perk but if the scenario was reversed and a guy did that to someone on our team I would be livid.

I'm going to say it.

Perk fouling Maxiell the way he did may have won us the game. Send Maxiell to the line, he misses both and Ray hits the technical free throw.

Just saying, thats a +1. Not condoning, just throwing that out there.

I am A LOT DISAPPOINTED in Perk.  When it happened, I was thinking, "He has lost his cotton pickin' mind?"

First, Maxiell was just playing hard.  He got away with a shove on Eddie under the basket, but nothing to deserve that ridiculous foul by Perk.  Yes, Maxiell became a maniac after the fact, but think if that was your head.  Perk was completely unprovoked and this has to be nipped in the bud right now.

I've always been embarassed about Parish's cheap shot on Laimbeer as someone mentioned in an earlier post and I feel the same about Perk here to a degree. Heck, I still think McHale's closeline of Rambis (while more humorous) was too much. Celtics fans demand more control out of our guys than this crap.

Check yourself Perk or you are going to lose a lot of respect from fans and peers.

Why don't you give examples of a time he did something similar? You can get T'd for alot less in the NBA as well which where I would put most if not all of Perks previous T's that I can think of.

I dont support it, but I also think some of you are overreacting
His earlier techs were due to talking to the refs, nothing to do with a dirty foul..so I dont see how its relevant...this is his first incident like this in at least 2 years possibly more, Id like to be informed when hes had a foul like this anytime recently.  I believe Maxiells reaction was just as bad/worse than what perk did ...Perk got ejected, he got what he deserved, thats it, and I dont see him doing it again...and Maxiell is fine, its not like he has a broken rib and collapsed lung, in that case id feel alot worse

So it was alright for Maxiell to push and shove after? To me that made him no better then Perk.

honestly, i like it. somebody has to be this type of guy on the team, the only thing that made it so bad was that he wasn't even shooting he was just crouched there.

Maxiell was provoked and Perk was unprovoked when he commited the stupid foul. I wouldn't expect him to be ok with that foul, it was excessive to shove Rondo as well but I can understand why he shoved Perk. If his face hit the ground he could have been seriously hurt.

What did Rondo do to Maxiell? Why is that only a 'little excessive' He looks just as bad as Perk.

Maxiell was provoked by perk, and perk couldve been provoked by maxiells idiotic response of shoving him and punching rondo and it couldve been the malice at the palace all over again...except he did nothing, accepted being ejected, realized he deserved it - and left
Seriously, Maxiell was the biggest thug in this situation, perk just committed a hard foul, end of story
