  • The good ole days.
The Minnesota Timberwolves select one of the better interior defenders and the best rebounder left on the board... Reggie Evans.

John Hollinger's verdict on Reggie Evans' defense

Quote
Defensively, Evans is a willing banger but his lack of length prevents him from being a factor against drivers. His lateral movement is only average, so his main asset defensively is how well he controls the glass.

I think people often make the mistake about evans. He's not a good defender, but he's a very good rebounder.

Nothing in that analysis mentions him being unable to man up against other big bodies.  I'll trust my eyes... I've seen him give plenty of much better players (at his position) fits because of that willingness to bang around and keep them away from the basket.  His defense "against drivers" is secondary to me, and in the game, to his defense against his own man.  And with my efficient offense, the more possessions they get, the more dangerous they become... having arguably the league's top per minute and percentage rebounder is a good way to get extra possessions.

He's probably a beast defensively too, no one will ever know though, because he can never run cross court before the 24 second clock expires.

your team is young and suited for fast paced game

Have you considered trading Reggie Evans for...I don't know...Eddie Curry? :D

There are plenty of big guys with more talent than Perk.  Not too many who work harder though.

If you throw in the money for a treadmill, a person trainer, a personal chef and a stomach stapling in i'll consider a trade for Curry. Maybe even hire someone who's sole job is to stay around curry and call him a fat piece of crap everytime he tries to eat anything.

I was thinking Edgar, the Commish's office could use a assistant like Curry.  Someone to make sure there are no leftovers after office parties.  Someone to throw out unruly GMs.

Give him to the office, I can give you an compensatory pick in the draft.

31st pick in the 15th round or 1st pick in the 16th round.  Your choice.

If Curry is worth Monta and a 7th, what's Murphy worth?
