haven't checked in a while (i have had 3 rounds off) but Jared Bayless where he got picked could be the steal of the draft. Kudos to the drafter.

Totally agreed.  I had him actually listed at the end of the 4th round.  And was working hard to get a 2nd 6th rounder all weekend to take him in the early 6th round.  But i just couldn't justify having him play PG alongside Iverson, which is why i went with Delonte West -- the less dynamic player, but a capable PG alongside a guy like Iverson.  If I'd had gotten Ronnie Brewer in teh 5th round like i'd hoped, i'd have bit the bullet, played Iverson at the PG, and Bayless woulda been the pick for me in the 6th.

BTW -- this all fits with a point Roy has been making about taking into account how your players will fit together when building a team.

I'm accepting offers for my pick, which is currently on the clock.

I've actually got about 4-5 guys in mind right now and am having a tough time deciding.

I'm down to two.  I've settled on one, actually, but something tells me I *should* go with the other guy.

Hmmm I'm intrigued. Next year maybe we could make the slow periods go faster by the next few GMs saying I've narrowed it to X guys and we could place side bets on who they're lloking at. Wed have to figure some way to do it w/o the gm seeing and getting any ideas. :)

Good luck with that.  Everyone seems to be selling their pick right when their turn comes up.

I know every time it's someones turn to pick we see the inevitable "Guys I won't be picking until my time I'm waiting to see the best offers, I feel there is plenty of value at pick 3420359468 so I will be looking for very good value in return...yadda yadda yadda..." post.

Haha.  Yes, people would probably be best served to advertise their picks a little bit earlier.  Still, I think it's because a lot of people are having issues making up their mind, etc.
