Any one wanting to help me move up to spot 15 or lower in the 1st using my second pick and some combination of others (not my first) feel free to make an offer.

TEHRAN (AP) -- Reports are that the Tehran Lakers franchise is closing in on it's first trade.  The franchise has sent paperwork to the league office to finalize a deal to move up in the fourth round of the draft.

Details from sources inside the operation say that the franchise is likely to be swapping picks in the fourth round with the New Orleans Hornets, while moving down from the 6th to the 7th round.  That would mean the Lakers will be drafting 7th in the fourth round, and 24th in the seventh as opposed to 30th in the fourth round, and 30th in the 6th.

There are also rumors that the team was so impressed with the Hornets logo found on page 31 of this publication that they have commissioned Hornets owner lon3lytoaster for the redesigning of the Tehran Lakers logo.  Sources expect the teams new colors to be "Sand" on "Blazing Sun White".

Every trade I have rubber stamped is on the board.  There are a few I hope to look at later today in my mailbox.

My deal with the Hornets hasn't been updated, and it says that the last edit to the main board was done "Yesterday at 7:42 by Roy Hobbs"

If you're needing to kill time before it's updated, you could check your PMs for the trade I sent you :)

Charlotte, NC -  Bobcats GM, LarBrd33, recently confirmed that he is actively seeking trade partners for the 1st round (#17 pick) in an attempt to trade down or out of the 1st round entirely.  Recent rumors suggest the Suns, Hawks and Wizards could be viable trade destinations.   LarBrd33 could not confirm specifics of which teams and what kind of deals he is currently considering for the mid 1st rounder.   Said LarBrd33, "The opportunity is there to take a franchise player... It will be tough to get rid of the #17...  the fans protested outside my office when I moved the #11 pick earlier this week... I'm not sure how all 6 of them will react when they hear I'm trading this pick as well."

silly question #820:  do we have to wait for them to be posted to use them in further deals?

A trade isn't official until the Commish gives it his okay.  If the deal is lopsided, and you think it could be vetoed, it's probably not a good idea to re-trade any of the picks.  On the other hand, wdleehi isn't going to veto anything unless it's very unfair.

I am starting to update the board.  I am waiting for comfirmation for one trade (remember I need to here from both parties on trades) and for one trade to be adjusted because one of the picks is already gone from another trade.

UPDATE -  Sources confirm that the Bobcats are still looking at options of trading 1st round #17 pick, but talks have extended to the Bobcats 1st round (#8) pick...    Stay tuned for details.

Apparently, the Bobcats want to own each pick in the entire draft at least once. ;)

I might be done for the night in terms of trade updates.

remember two things when sending trades

1) put it in an easy format to copy and paste

2) make sure both parties contact me.

The following teams either haven't been active or I have a strong suspicion they will be no shows for the draft.

#6 Knicks - LeahyIsGod  ... I've been informed that the commish knows this person personally, but I haven't received a single message from him.   Perhaps the Knicks should be auctioned off to the person willing to give the most tommy points to LeahyIsGod.   The fans of the franchise are outraged by the lack of activity and demand that the team be sold.

#15 76ers - DinoRadjaLives ... Another proud franchise being lead by an absent owner.   Not one single peep from this man.  And as people know... I demand peeps.  I demand lots and lots of peeps.   I again suggest the franchise be auctioned off to the highest bidder.

#23 Cavs - celticswillwin43 ... Hasn't this city suffered enough?  I messaged celticswillwin43 back on the 29th and received the following response:  "i really dont know what ur talking about..explain please? haha"... Dear Cleveland fans... prepare to suffer a lot more.   Sell the team!  Sell the team!

#27 Jazz - Scribbles  ... Haven't heard a peep.  I need my peeps.  If i don't get my peeps I can't sleep.

#28 Bucks - bucknersrevenge ... I got one word from him back on the 29th.  He said, ""dude i dont know what were talkin about. i havent received any word yet on my team or draft position yet to even understand you.".   Hopefully he has figured it out since then... otherwise, I suggest we get on SOSH and see if Bill Simmons is still interested in living out his fantasy.

I could be wrong about any of the above posters... but felt I should do my part.  If all these people are no-shows the 1st round could get interesting.

I can confirm that all other posters and teams have been active to some extent.

Bobcats GM, LarBrd33 is asking the league commissioner to intervene and remedy the above.  LarBrd33 feels the commish should cooperate in having the above franchises sold to willing local owners.  ;)

I sent out a "nudge" PM to some of these owners.  If we don't hear back from them prior to tomorrow morning, I vote that we strip their team.  I really don't want to have to find four replacement owners after the first round is over if we can avoid it.  The Cavs, Jazz and Bucks would all be okay, because they have late-round picks, so if their pick is skipped, no big deal.  With the 76ers, if that pick is missed, it will kill the franchise.
