Shoulda given him the 4th year, we coulda dealt him after the third with a draft pick to somebody who wants to clear some salary. That 1-2 years he wanted on the contract coulda cost us 1-2 more championships. Our bench as of right now is nothing like last years, Just a bunch of youngs now NOT 1 VET besides Scalabrine ::) Ugh we lost. What now...Starbury, Birdman, Ricky D?? We don't even have a 6th man, or somebody to step up in case one of the Big 3 gets injured.

Yea just saw that too. I hope its not true cause no one else is reporting it. I was watching NECN's retrospective of game 4 of the finals and seeing posey drain one of his corner treys was a smack in the head. How could I have ever considered c mag over this guy? Too clutch.

Good for him. He's got 2 NBA championships rings,  his money, and is still playing for a contender. I wish him the best of luck!!!!

Bad for us and seems like a bad move by Danny right now. Wonder what the plan is.

So the guys left to replace Posey are Finley, Barnes, Miles, and Ross. Hopefully Danny can sign Josh Childress for the full MLE for five years and Atlanta won't match it.

They signed James Posey to a four year inflated contract...

oh no. out goes posey, in comes darius miles and god knows who else. the worst has happened, and i knew it would, simply due to the fact that he waited until after the dvd release to make his decision.

good luck posey, we appreciate all you did for us.

Congratulations to James Posey. He deserved that contract. Hornets just got a bit tougher out in the West.

It'll be interesting to see what Ainge does next. There's still more than enough options on the market to build a respectable bench.

i was expecting this and i'm okay with it. i mean if posey were to leave, i wanted it to be a team i didn't hate. i don't hate the hornets. as long as it wasn't the pistons, cavs, or lakers, i would've been fine with it. best of luck to posey. he got his money and went to a championship caliber team.

Become Legendary.

I kinda got the feeling from his interviews before the premiere that he already had one foot out the door.  They probably just wanted to hold off until after the DVD signing.  Oh well, he got his 4th year.

It sucks that he's gone, but now Ainge can move forward.  He wasn't gonna use any part of the MLE until he knew Posey was gone.

I'm fine with this for some reason...we need cap flexibility for 2010.

I expect this to start a ball rolling with some other names though...
