I think your reading a tad to much into it...I don't see any "gang symbol" flashing.
I can't find a video of it, I saw the replay on Comcast Sports after the game again and that looked a lot like a gang sign to me. I don't think I'm reading into it too much at all, I saw what I saw.

looked like 3 fingers and mouthing "only game 3" to me, but to each his own.

yes

At first i thought it was a gang sign too..

but then re watching its clears just 3 fingers and the other two doing nothing implying that its game 3... only game 3.

either way, dumb move by Horford.

And now I've got to convince myself that Paul did not make a "gang sign" when my eyes, like many of you, saw what appeared to be some type of hand gesture made out of anger.

he definately made a gesture out of anger, which really isnt a big deal.  juyst bc he made a gesture, doesnt mean it was a gang sign.

my posts in the "maturity" thread are applicable here....

is it possible that he threw three fingers up, implying that horford and the hawks have to win three more times?

as i said previously in this thread, with regards to the "gang sign" talk:
unless u were on or around the court and could see, as well as hear, what was being said....it is purely speculation to imply it was a gang sign and should not be considered fact unless it is proven.  i think paul deserves more respect from his fans/supporters.

I don't think PP is a member of a gang. That doesn't however prevent him from making that sign as a stupid gesture. Not so mature, was it?! If he had just ignored him it is a moot point.

As far as ''not being down there to hear what was said by PP'' Oh Dark One, PP didn't say anything. He just walked down towards them with his chest puffed out making stupid hand gestures. HEARING anything had nothing to do with it.

Next Topic!!

again, why the condescending tone? why do u think ur right, when u, me, and everyone else has no idea?? none of us were on the court or near it!

two scenarios which could fit...
1- he implied, "its only game three"
2- he implied, "u have three more to go"

Much ado about nothing.

The zero was an indicator of Al Horford's IQ.

Paul Pierce is from LA and I think he has a brother or uncle who's in jail or has been to prison many times for gang-related crimes (or so I've heard).

[dang]... all I gotta say is, Pierce is NOT the guy you want to get upset.

so bc u think he has a family member in jail for gang-related crimes, paul is a gangbanger who throws up gang signs in nba games ::)

I think it's kind of sad how many people want to jump on Pierce. Why not give him the benefit of the doubt, given we have little chance of interpreting what he signalled?

Ok folks I think we need to chill for a minute.  I agree with a lot of what Dark Lord is saying and I think some are just getting carried away.

Let us look at this.  Pierce is a 30 year old multimillionaire dollar professional athlete.  He is playing a game live on national TV.  He arguably has more exporsure to the national audience that he has ever had in his career (which he wanted based off his comments from last season of always being overlooked because he was on a bad team).  In addition he just had his first child not too long back.  In my opinion, this doesn't sound like someone who will make himself look like a fool by throwing a "gang sign" for the  entire basketball watching communtiy across the nation to see.

I think we should give people a little more credit.

EDIT: I meant to put this in the "Paul's Maturity" thread, but the point still stands since both threads are similar.
