The Thunder are finalizing a trade to send guard Aaron Wiggins to the Hawks in exchange for two second-round picks, per Shams Charania.

F: Jalen Johnson, Mo Gueye
C: Okongwu, (FA)

Bad news for Risacher. Looks like they are giving up on him. Their perimeter rotation was already set. They have a 3 guard rotation. They have Dyson Daniels and Kuminga at forward with Daniels getting a few guard minutes as well. JJ and Gueye at PF. So their 1-4 rotation was already locked down. Without any room for Risacher.

Now they add another player - Aaron Wiggins - who don't even need. Their rotation was already stable. And will push Risacher even further down the pecking order.

I hope they try to trade Risacher. I'd love to see them add a starting caliber center and move Okongwu back to a 6th man role.

Keith Smith: If the Hawks choose to stay over the cap with C.J. McCollum on the books, Atlanta should still be able to use the full $15M Non-Taxpayer MLE. That'll be an important tool to help the Hawks round out their depth, especially in the frontcourt.

Edit: Two tidbits on the McCollum contract

Hmm, it was also reported that the contract includes a 15% trade-kicker (should McCollum be traded).

Perhaps the timing of the contract (being signed before July) was of zero consequence to the Hawks because they have no intention of trying to trade him this season.

Or maybe it just gives them a smidge more flexibility in case they get an offer they can't refuse for him?  And the kicker would be their way of giving him a "thank you" for dealing with being traded.

Oh, I copied and pasted the same thing twice in my post above. The 2nd tidbit was meant to be the trade kicker. I saw 7.5% by Jake Fischer. You saw 15%. Either way, McCollum got a trade kicker just in case.

Yeah, I imagine it is only in an "offer you can't refuse" type scenario. They seem highly committed to him.

Edit: Found the Jake Fischer 7.5%. I don't know if it is correct or not but I meant to post this in my post above.

Whoops, yes you are correct. 7.5% trade kicker.

So only about $1.6-ish million if he?s traded. I don?t think any team would blink twice at that if they really want to trade for McCollum.

Basically a little thank you gift in advance if they trade him.  Classy move by the Hawks if it comes to that.

The Heat and Celtics have emerged as the two-team race for Giannis Antetokounmpo, with both teams engaged in the most advanced talks with Milwaukee, per Marc Stein.

The Miami offer includes Tyler Herro, Kelel Ware, Jaime Jaquez Jr., and the No. 13 pick.

The Boston package is less clear, but Jaylen Brown is widely viewed around the league as the likely centerpiece, with additional players and draft compensation expected to be involved.

The Bucks are expected to make a decision around the NBA Draft.

That might be best package with the Heat but they probably trying get 8th pick from Hawks if they can get Boston & Atlanta to do a 3 team deal

If I'm Brad, I'm not going to be precious about giving up two 1st round picks to get Giannis. 

Those picks should theoretically be in the high 20s. 

If he gives up Jaylen, picks whomever the Bucks want in Tuesday's draft, and then trade their 2027 pick, that wouldn't bother me at all.

Then if a third team like Atlanta or Portland can offer their own package of players/picks for Jaylen, then the Bucks could end up with a Risacher deal with Atlanta plus more players and a total combined FOUR 1st round picks.

Or Portland gives up Scoot and two 1sts and the Bucks get the same deal, a promising young player, plus FOUR 1st round picks.

While MIL will know they're not "great" picks, it will help management sell it to their fans. 

I bet the holdup is Atlanta and Portland right now.  The Bucks are trying to get Portland to pony up a second 1st rounder, but they're holding out.

Also said if not to the Bucks, Brown still could be moved.

This sounds like a situation that might not be able to be salvaged if this falls through.

I was going to say, if Boston falls short in trading for Giannis, they might have to move Brown regardless.

Given it is public knowledge that the Celtics front office has offered Jaylen to Milwaukee, I doubt the relationship can be salvaged.

Ira Winderman: This never was going to be easy. If there is a Heat deal, it likely will be completed later, due to cap/calendar rules. If there is not, then it would seem the time for Pat Riley to talk.

Does that mean it won't be completed until July 01? Hopefully they announce the deal before that. On draft day. Even if they have to wait. I don't want this to drag on for another week plus.
