So, Jaylen heard the analytics comments and went on a bit of a tirade on social media today:

Jaylen Brown shared this long video on his Instagram.

Talks about how he was ?the best player? on a championship team.

How he got ?blackballed? by the Olympic team

How the Celtics tried to trade him multiple times.

It's time to move on from him. He's quickly becoming one of the most exhausting and annoying players with his incessant whining and inability to not engage with the noise on social media.

We all saw how this was going to end after this past year, and I just don't see us mending anything over the next couple of months. I'm ready to see what a full-blown JT-led team gets us, which the numbers with higher JT usage and JT/non-JB minutes being very promising.

As he should.  Even the last tweet you share of Jaylen (state your source) is him responding to Bobby Marks claiming that the clip of him talking about the analytics was edited and cut short to help stir controversy.  Which clearly happened.

Frankly, anyone arguing that analytics demonstrates that Jaylen Brown would be the 7th-best player on a team is giving analytics a bad name.

Does he really need to respond every time someone says something stupid. Seems like a waste of energy. He should take a break from the internet.

He probably should.  So I should I.  The perils of being human in the 21st century.

I will say I think his agent needs to help him out here.  He has a large enough client list that he should have some pull to tell Shams and Bobby Marks to stop peddling in rumors for a few days.  It is getting ridiculous on both sides.

It?s not so easy to not respond. I would love it if he didn?t, but it seems this is what people do. It?s part of being invested in the culture of your times. Can?t really expect otherwise. I don?t believe for a second that JB has burned his bridges in Boston. He absolutely can stay with the Cs and at this point I hope he does.  Nothing I?ve seen in terms of trades convinces me the Cs will be better off without him.  My only hope is that if Brad pulls the trigger he?s doing so because he believes the trade helps the team and for no other reason.

As Roy pointed out...Joe's coaching was abysmal vs Philly.

And he did not have his team prepared for Embiid to return. As much as I want to blame players and the roster, Joe to me was the main problem.

Many players have decided to stop using social media. It is not some impossible task. I mean, Tatum got a lot of criticism for not playing in game 7 in the playoffs this year. He chose not to respond. JB is making a choice to spend all this time and energy trying to defend himself from the naysayers.

Maybe his little brother Anthony Edwards who is 24 years old can talk some sense into him. Ant hasn?t been on Social media in 3-4 years.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Guess this would be the quick guard to bring in. If all things stay the same if would probably be the back up with PP moving into the starting role.

The Celtics are expected to have interest in Mavericks guard Brandon Williams when free agency opens, according to
@MikeAScotto

Williams averaged 13 PPG, 3.9 APG & 2.9 RPG (47.2% FG/23.2% 3PT) in 66 games for Dallas

Other teams, such as the New Orleans Pelicans, Houston Rockets, and Orlando Magic, who've been loosely linked to Brown, have been described as not in the mix.

HoopsHype

Largely knew that Houston & Orlando weren't in it. But no New Orleans either.

Quote
Charlotte has also gauged the trade market value of forward Miles Bridges, who?s on an expiring $22.83 million deal. His salary would be needed to make any Brown trade work with Charlotte. With that said, exploratory talks with the Hornets have cooled.

Hoopshype

So Charlotte likely out of the mix as well.

As the Nuggets navigate getting below the second apron, sharpshooting forward Cam Johnson has drawn trade interest from several teams, including the Los Angeles Lakers, Boston Celtics, Miami Heat, Los Angeles Clippers, and Orlando Magic, league sources told HoopsHype.

The 30-year-old forward shot career-highs from the field (.480) and beyond the arc (.430), and is on an expiring $23.06 million contract for the upcoming season.

HoopsHype

Presumably for the TPE. Gives us a backup forward who can shoot. Although Hauser can shoot. I was thinking of J Walsh and Hugo who cannot shoot.

------------------

Actually with how badly Cam Johnson played for DEN last season, how much of an upgrade is he over Sam Hauser?

Defensively they are about the same. Rebounding wise they are the same or small advantage Hauser.

Cam Johnson has some more ball-handling and passing, more connectivity game, but he barely used it in DEN. Maybe he would here in BOS because J Murray & Jokic won't be dominating the offense and leaving him in the corner so much. Scoring wise Cam had 12ppg or 14.4pts per 36. Hauser was 9.2ppg in less minutes or 13.4pts per 36. Hauser's scoring rate declined in the playoffs (11.9pts per 36) while Cam's improved (16.5pts per 36).

Similarly, the Portland Trail Blazers have expressed trade interest in [Aaron] Gordon should they not land Jaylen Brown, their preferred target, HoopsHype has learned.

Ironically, the Celtics have also kept tabs on Gordon from afar.

HoopsHype

So the Celtics have interest in both Aaron Gordon & Cam Johnson.

You could put the both of them together for Jaylen Brown but I am not sure DEN has anything else to add to that to make that interesting enough for BOS.

G: Pritchard
G: D White
F: Tatum, Cam Johnson
F: A Gordon, (Tatum)
C: Queta

I'd prefer a package with Peyton Watson in a sign and trade instead of Cam Johnson. Peyton Watson is a better athlete who can cover SGs which would allow him to start or come off the bench. Cam Johnson is a slow footed SF who would have to come off the bench here.
