Heat Central: All I?ll say to you Greeny, if the Milwaukee Bucks go with the Celtics offer, Jaylen Brown will be in Milwaukee. @ShamsCharania says Jaylen Brown will be staying in MIL after a Giannis trade.

ShamsCharania I want to make this clear, whichever deal occurs, it?s going to be a one for one deal. It?s going to consist of MIL and one of these two teams. There?s no 3rd and 4th teams.

I would rather involve a 3rd team in this if it meant keeping Hugo. It seems the premise here is that it'd be just MIL-BOS, but the C's would also have to give up #27 and Hugo. Ultimately I'm fine giving up #27 and another asset like Hauser or Walsh, but not Hugo or Baylor.

Brian Windhorst believes Jaylen Brown will be traded even if the Celtics miss on Giannis and is accepting that reality: I believe if the Bucks choose the Miami Heat offer, Jaylen Brown will get traded somewhere else. They are going to move on here. From what I understand, Jaylen Brown is accepting this and realizing it?s a chance to turn the page and may be getting his own team.

Giannis, Portis

For

Brown, Hauser, 27, 40, 2027 1st and maybe a future swap or two, or a young player

That is my prediction.  Milwaukee can reroute Brown if they want.

I'd then go all in and use the trade exception on a stretch center and a defensive PG.

I still don't know all of the rules of the new CBA, but are we allowed to use the full TPE if it puts us above the second apron?

No, we are capped at either the second apron or the first apron, depending when the TPE is used, I think.  (I believe using a TPE from a prior season caps you at the first apron).

The $27M TPE is from last season so using it results in a hard cap at the first apron.  That is why Hauser needs to go out if Portis comes back.

Sounds like the Bucks need someone to anchor their team and still attract fans. Brown wants to have this type of role IMO...

Agreed.  They have no reason to tank and try and get a better draft pick since they have so many pick swaps in the coming seasons.

So why stink and not even be able to get better through the draft.  They can put together a playoff squad with Jaylen, Hauser or Hugo, and two of the C's 1st rounders.

If the deal could be Brown, #27, Scheierman for Giannis (maybe with Hauser and Portis or Kuzma thrown in), I do that deal.  Sheierman is a nice player but not someone to stop you from getting Giannis.

Depends what other moves are made. I do like the idea of adding Portis in the deal if possible, maybe Jaylen, Hauser + picks for Giannis and Portis. I just really don't want to give up Hugo or Baylor. But in that scenario, I might be okay with Baylor. Not Hugo. Although I don't even want to trade for Giannis but it seems we're getting there, there is a ton of smoke at this point

I think Kuzma comes back to Boston. Can the Cs make him a productive bench piece? He is on an expiring so he might have some value there.

My guess?

Brown
Hugo
#27 pick
Future first round pick or picks

Boston gets Giannis and Kuzma or Portis

You can probably get Kuzma or Portis in the deal if you add Hauser, which I'm fine with.

A cap expert can explain what we'd have left in terms of the TPE or MLE to use afterwards?

Sure sounds like Brown wants to be out of Boston...which I think was his whole plan when he started with the comments. I do no think this is all Brad and poor Jaylen. It seems to be mutual.

I think the new draft lottery rules also play a part in this. Brown at least gives the Bucks a star they can build around and have.
