ESPN still says "Undecided" for the Sox for probable.  I would imagine it would be Tolle

Man, I really hope Tolle can step up.  That would be a ton of fun to see.

In the last 30 days, 25 games for BOS and 24 games for NYY, BOS has scored 80 runs and NYY has scored 117.  BOS will have Contreras and Rafaela back, but still.  And NYY probably has the better starting pitcher in every game.

That said, Sox in 2.

It's crazy to think about 3 months ago, they were 32-46 on track for a Top-3 draft pick and the thought of them even playing a playoff game would be laughable.

I truthfully think the Yankees win the series because while our pitching is great, I just have no hope for our offense to score and capitalize against Schlittler/Fried/Cole. Would love to be wrong, but I'm not that optimistic. And it's on the road. If it were at Fenway I'd be very confident. I was more optimistic going in last year and they unfortunately lost in 3 (started with a 1-0 lead thanks to Crochet but then the offense again just went cold especially late Game 2 + all Game 3)

Since I'm expecting this series to be a Boston loss?maybe even a sweep?I think I'd prefer the top-3 pick. Especially given the likelihood that John Henry will use this playoff appearance as "evidence" that "the team is making great progress" and can continue to rely on "internal development" instead of acquiring some prime FA hitters. (We all saw how awful Pete Alonso did this year, right?)

He reminds me of Dick Radatz...size and power lefty vs righty.  Remember Radatz was named the monster by Mickey Mantle...would be fun to use this game for a nickname for Payton.  Both 6'6" and around 250lbs.
