Lebron's 10 point streak ends. That was insane. 1,297 games. HOLY

I saw the streak started before the Iphone launched, and before Rodgers threw his first TD. Also Flagg was 15 days old.

Love him or hate him, his longevity is simply astounding.

The streak ended before... Embiid made a conference finals  :-X

One of the neater ones I saw was that Chris Paul was the reigning Rookie of the Year when Lebron's streak started.

Crazy. It really feels like a lifetime. I think that was also just the year before the C's won the Finals with the Big 3 of Allen/Garnett/Pierce. And that felt like AGES ago

More injury reporting shenanigans.

The NBA fined the Philadelphia 76ers $100,000 for violating injury reporting rules when they listed Joel Embiid as "out" against the Atlanta Hawks on Nov. 30 and he subsequently played.

Question:  does the league care about this stuff more for competitive integrity purposes, or to satisfy bettors?

Great question.
the bettors obviously.  you can bet on it  ;)

Somewhere way down on the priority list are the people paying stupid amounts of money to go see the games in person. Including a premium on bigger ticket teams / players.

Case in point: tonight's Lakers lineup....
Yup

Jalen Johnson had 20pts 18reb 16ast 2stl in a 1pt loss to the Nuggets. That is a monster stat line.

Edit: Wow, he already had the triple double by halftime.

It's an amazing stat, but it has the plastic-like feel of Barry Bonds' baseball career. An all-time great who modified his body so wildly that it's hard to judge what any of it means.

So OKC are owed these 1st round picks this summer:

(1) Clippers - unprotected
(2) Utah - top 8 protected
(3) Phily - top 4 protected

Clippers are currently the 6th worst team in the league.

Utah are currently the 9th worst team in the league. Gotta think they will trade guys away at some point in order to ensure they keep that draft pick.

Philly are solidly middle of the pack.

Toronto has now lost 4 of their last 5. And we play them tomorrow, and if the C's win they will jump them in the standings as well to become the 3 seed potentially. They also play each other December 20, so two games between the teams in the next 2 weeks.

Looks like Toronto is gonna join Chicago in starting off hot and having a big winning streak but then fading soon after.

Jake Fischer: And there are definitely teams that believe that have told me as recently as today that New Orleans is now starting to listen and at least show some type of willingness to listen on guys like Herb Jones and Trey Murphy as well. And those guys are going to have a lot of interest around the league.YouTube

Anthony Edwards has become the T'Wolves All-Time leader in 30+pts games. What surprised me is that Towns was 2nd ahead of KG.

Ant - 102 games with 30+pts
Towns - 101 games
KG - 82 games

KG is way back on those two guys. I assumed he would be the one Ant was chasing. Not Towns.

KG wasn't a big time scorer where he'd go off for 30+ points.  his impact was primarily the boards, energy  and D.

yes.  It took KG a long time to realize he wasn't a #1 and was a #2. It wasn't till then that he found success in the post season first with Spreewell before Pierce and Allen in Boston. Early on his eho couldn't take not being the guy and he chased away talented teammate after talent3d teammate and he was ine of the biggest playoff lovers ever.  Glad he found the maturity he needed to actually let Pierce and Allen be the primary scorers in Boston.

Cavaliers just lost to a Warriors team that played basically no one. Something's off with them

Reaves talked about Walsh?s potential and what he saw facing the lengthy defender. ?He just plays hard as crap every single possession, Reaves said. You don?t take a possession off. His ability, his length, his athleticism. He?s physically gifted. Moves really well. I could see him being one of the best defenders in the league for many years to come. He made shots tonight. Good player. Booth Newspapers
