The NBA fined the Philadelphia 76ers $100,000 for violating injury reporting rules when they listed Joel Embiid as "out" against the Atlanta Hawks on Nov. 30 and he subsequently played.

Question:  does the league care about this stuff more for competitive integrity purposes, or to satisfy bettors?

ESPN Cleveland: Brian Windhorst: The Bucks called the Knicks and asked for an offer for Giannis Antetokounmpo, because Giannis said, 'I want to be a Knick.' .... Guys, Giannis has asked to be traded already. It appears Giannis committed to himself for the season to the Bucks. But the Bucks are not good. This year, when Giannis hasn't played, the Bucks are 1-5. When he has played, they're 9-8. Would his viewpoint change? I don't know..

what could the Knicks offer talent-wise that Milwaukee would accept that wouldn't cost all their top players?  Knicks don't have any youth or own any great picks from other teams that could possibly interest Milwaukee.

Seems to me that acquiring Giannis would gut the Knicks in the short term.

Despite moments of dominance, I don?t know why anyone give value for Towns.

Giannis may want to be a Knick, but a team like the Spurs or Mavs makes far more sense
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Starters - Luka, JB, Lebron, Wemby, Shaq
Rotation - D. Daniels, Mitchell, G. Wallace, Melo, Noah
Deep Bench - Korver, Turner

Or the Celtics.  I like Giannis and Brown or Giannis and Tatum more than I like Brown and Tatum.

I agree with the Spurs but why do you say the Mavs? Do you mean from his perspective or the Bucks?

I think he would have a better chance to win with the Knicks because of the East than with the Mavs. If you think from the Bucks perspective then that is only the case if the Mavs trade Flagg and salaries for him but then I am not sure how good the Mavs will be if that makes sense to try and win with this team.

Multiple teams have called the Clippers about Ivica Zubac?s availability, per  @BrettSiegelNBA

The starting price for the center is two first-round picks

Boston has Simons who is a guard LA has expressed interest in and multiple picks.

Honestly if Simons + 2 future protected first round picks nets you Zubac, I'd really consider it. I'd prefer to do Simons + 1 FRP + 2 seconds but if it gets to a bit of a bidding war I'd do it. This roster + Tatum AND Zubac in the frontcourt makes us a contender again.
