Doris Burke just said that Indiana has been 6th in the league in defensive efficiency since the start of the New Year.
Extended run of strong defensive play for a team that is usually a bit below average on the defensive end.

I am surprised to see Nembhard get the Luka assignment instead of Nesmith. I like Nembhard's D on lightweight guards. Always thought he struggled agianst more powerful physical wings. So it will be interesting to see how Nembhard does against Luka. I have heard quite a few people raving about how good Nembhard's D has been this season.

Doris also mentioned that Haliburton has 142 assists in his last 12 games against only 13 turnovers. A 10:1 AST:TOV ratio while averaging almost 12 assists per game. Insane.
I am looking at his other stats for that 12 game run. He is adding 21.6ppg to those 11.8apg. He is giving Indy 2.3 steals per game vs the 1.1 turnovers meaning he is creating twice as many possessions with his steals as he is giving away with turnovers while also providing that 21-12 production on offense.
And he is on a hot streak. Nearly 55% FG%, 46% 3PT% and 94% FT%.
How isn't that run getting more media attention?
