Taylor Jenkins was called into the Grizzlies office this morning and was fired in person, sources tell ESPN. Stunning dismissal. Jenkins now becomes one of the top head coaching candidates for the upcoming cycle. He had a .539 winning percentage as Grizzlies coach.

Really questionable decision. I've thought he was one of the best player development coaches I've seen.

I like it. I don't trust the changes he has made this season to their offense. That is a junk offense. Too basic. Dribble drive offense. I'd like to see them move away from that offense. I believe that is a big reason why they are underachieving this year particularly in matchups against + .500 teams.

I wonder though if they will promote one of their assistants instead. I think they got 2 of those dribble drive offensive gurus on their bench. I hope they don't elevate one of those guys.

Taylor Jenkins has lost five of their last seven games including four games on the road. They're in danger of losing home-court advantage in the first-round. I think Zach Kleiman has had enough.

Goes to show no NBA job or team is secured, not for Luka and definitely not for any head coaches.

Teams that could use his services: Sacramento Kings

Is this an Ime situation on hand? Seems like such an odd time to announce it. I mean if they were thinking about it too, why not just do it a week or two earlier. Now the new guy probably has to rush things and implement things quickly.

I don't watch the Grizzlies much, but from the outside looking in I see a team that got a lot of real value out of rookies and G-leaguers over the past two seasons.  Would seem to me that Jenkins should get a lot of credit for that.  Guess not.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Stephen A goes off on LeBron. I love it!

There's no winners with SAS v. Lebron

I?m enjoying the feud! They deserve each other haha.

It's funny because it's now ESPN vs. Lebron. Perkins, Windhorst, etc. are all involved in some way too. Windhorst is taking the high road but a bunch of others aren't (including Lebron)

Tom Thibs if the Knicks don't win it all? The Pacers? Maybe OKC if they go second and done again?
