After this season, he [Giannis] will have 7 consecutive seasons with a top 4 finish in MVP.

Wow, that is impressive. 7 straight top 4 MVP finishes.

Yeah that?s ok. For some perspective Larry Bird 9 straight years in the top 4 and the last 8 in a row in the top 2? from 1980 to 1988. 4th place in MVP as a rookie !!

Break down-  4th 1980-  then 2nd,2nd,2nd,1st,1st,1st,2nd,and 2nd.

Should've won in '81. them all.

Doris Burke just said that Indiana has been 6th in the league in defensive efficiency since the start of the New Year.

Extended run of strong defensive play for a team that is usually a bit below average on the defensive end.

--------------------------------

I am surprised to see Nembhard get the Luka assignment instead of Nesmith. I like Nembhard's D on lightweight guards. Always thought he struggled agianst more powerful physical wings. So it will be interesting to see how Nembhard does against Luka. I have heard quite a few people raving about how good Nembhard's D has been this season.

----------------------------------

Doris also mentioned that Haliburton has 142 assists in his last 12 games against only 13 turnovers. A 10:1 AST:TOV ratio while averaging almost 12 assists per game. Insane.

I am looking at his other stats for that 12 game run. He is adding 21.6ppg to those 11.8apg. He is giving Indy 2.3 steals per game vs the 1.1 turnovers meaning he is creating twice as many possessions with his steals as he is giving away with turnovers while also providing that 21-12 production on offense.

And he is on a hot streak. Nearly 55% FG%, 46% 3PT% and 94% FT%.

How isn't that run getting more media attention?

A 35-13 run by LAL over Indiana in Q2.

They are destroying the Pacers.

Both the Lakers and Pacers play no defense. Shootout.

Man Haliburton is an absolute maestro out there. 16 assists, with 3 mins left in the 3rd

Pacers literally just attacked Doncic defensively 4 times in a row. All buckets. 3 of them were just simply blow-bys past him.

It?s amazing how much I hate Lebron. That was so lucky. Please let the Lakers go down early in the playoffs. I can?t take them making a run - especially this new Luka iteration

We provided the blueprint last finals.  The Celts are just best equipped to follow it.  Other teams just need to follow it as best they can.  Continuously attacking Luka defensively will be successful and will eventually end up hurting his offense too.

It gets to him. Physically and mentally. Physically wears him down. Mentally you can see it upsets him when guys are getting success frequently against him. Exposing him as a liability. All eyes on him and him failing. It bothers him.
