If lakers gets pass first round I be surprise..team is so overrated..James is 40 & Luka is awful on defense, just go at them like Celtics did to Luka last season

just noticed this morning that the entire SouthEast division is under water and it's quite possible no one in that division finishes above .500 this season.   yeesh

I was looking at the playoff standings the other day.  Is there any reward for winning a division anymore?
Yup

Alex Sarr has been playing pretty well the last 10 games. He?s averaging 19pts, 7rebs, 2ast, 2blks.
Shooting splits are 42/39/70.

I think he has a lot more upside than Risacher who went #1 overall.

I thought there was since there always had been but apparently not for a while now.  Just seems to go strictly on conference standings.  top 3 in that division are all playin teams.  that's pretty bad.  had preseason expectations that Atlanta and Orlando would be much better than they have been

Pacers literally just attacked Doncic defensively 4 times in a row. All buckets. 3 of them were just simply blow-bys past him.
We provided the blueprint last finals.  The Celts are just best equipped to follow it.  Other teams just need to follow it as best they can.  Continuously attacking Luka defensively will be successful and will eventually end up hurting his offense too.

It gets to him. Physically and mentally. Physically wears him down. Mentally you can see it upsets him when guys are getting success frequently against him. Exposing him as a liability. All eyes on him and him failing. It bothers him.

Hopefully he doesn't revert back to his 2019 slimmer self again

I don't think we are seeing the best of the Lakers at the minute. Those injuries to LeBron and Hachimura hurt them. They have returned but both are playing themselves back into shape.

I have seen quite a few Lakers fans worried about slowly / how hard it is for LeBron at his age to get back in top condition & back to playing at the level he was prior to this injury.

I think this period is mostly a write off in terms of understanding how good LAL can be in the playoffs. We need to wait until those 2 guys get back to playing at a high level again before we can start figuring out how much of a threat they will be (or not) in the playoffs.

Detroit is now the 5 seed, and only 1.5 back of the 4 seed.

An Indiana-Detroit first round series would be very fun, I could see it going 7 games.

Malice in the Palace redux.  Maybe Cap'n Jack & Artest can come back for an appearance.

Excellent question.  I think you may have nailed it with how often teams play each other within their division vs within their conference.  I could be wrong but there may be a tiebreaker impact as well.

Yes.  It does work as a tiebreaker.
Yup

I did not realize AD was back for Dallas.

G: Dinwiddie, Brandon Williams
G: Klay, J Hardy
F: Naji Marshall, Max Christie
F: AD, Caleb Martin
C: Kai Jones, Dwight Powell

Not too bad of a team now. That group should be able to compete most nights.

Update: Mavs going smaller for start of 2nd half. Kai Jones moves to the bench with Max Christie coming in at SF. AD in the middle with 4 guys who can shoot around him.
