I saw a news story sayin D Lively and D Gafford are expected back next week so both will be available for a playoff run.

G: Dinwiddie, Brandon Williams
G: K Thompson, J Hardy
F: PJ Washington, Max Christie, C Martin
F: A Davis, Naji Marshall
C: D Lively, D Gafford, Kai Jones

That is a formidable team. 11-12 men deep. Lots of size. Lots of defense. Lots of rebounding. Not that much offense but enough to compete if their defense is keeping them in games.

3 games separate the 4 and 8 seeds in the West (Lakers, Clippers). Gonna be an insane finish to the season combined with a postseason bloodbath out West

The score is 56-51 in the Bucks-Hawks game just 3 minutes into the 2nd quarter.

Jeez ... how much did they score in the Q1? Wow.

Milwaukee is shooting 79% FG% and is down 1pts!!!

65-65 with 6:30 left until halftime. This could be a 160-155 kind of game lol without OT

Strange scenes at the Wolves Pistons game.

Naz Reid drives to the rim, gets fouled, comes back wagging his finger at Ron Holland (Mutombo style). Holland loses his cool. DiVincenzo tackles him to try and stop an escalation. Instead they all group in / jump on each other. End up pushing each other off the court into the baseline seats. All 10 players there. Maybe a half dozen coaches. Another 5-10 security people. Huge crowd all over each other trying to break it up. Like 20-30 guys. Looks like a melee. What a mess.

All over nothing.

Wow. Lots of people ejected.

5 players ejected = Naz Reid. DiVincenzo. I Stewart. R Holland. M Sasser.

2 coaches ejected = head coach Bickerstaff. Assistant Prigioni.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Malice at the Palace 2.0!

Now that's more like it. Just missing some guy tossing beer at a player and somebody going up the stands taking 'em down. Who'd thought Divicenzo is a tough guy lol.

Would be nice to see some Pistons players suspended for the playoffs, one less obstacle for Boston.  8)

They had a graphic at the bottom of game screen, one of those ticker things, saying Russell Westbrook has now passed Oscar Robertson for #8 All-Time for assists. 9,892 for Russ. 9,887 for Oscar.

First reaction: I was shocked Oscar was as low as 8th. Now 9th. I remember Magic breaking his record. Then Stockton breaking Magic's.

Next question was: Who are all these other guys ahead of Oscar?

I remember J-Kidd did it. Mark Jackson. Chris Paul is probably there by now. Maybe Nash made it which he did. The guy I missed was LeBron James. I forgot about him.

Quote
1.   John Stockton*    15806
2.   Chris Paul    12449
3.   Jason Kidd*    12091
4.   LeBron James    11542
5.   Steve Nash*    10335
6.   Mark Jackson    10334
7.   Magic Johnson*    10141
8.   Russell Westbrook    9892
9.   Oscar Robertson*    9887
10.   Isiah Thomas*    9061

Now I remember LeBron getting that 40k points 10k assists 10k rebounds mark. Now he is at 42k points 11.5k assists 11.5k rebounds.

Next group down

Quote
11.   Gary Payton*    8966
12.   Andre Miller    8524
13.   James Harden    8232
14.   Rod Strickland    7987
15.   Rajon Rondo    7584
16.   Maurice Cheeks*    7392
17.   Lenny Wilkens*    7211
18.   Terry Porter    7160
19.   Kyle Lowry    7096
20.   Tim Hardaway*    7095

21.   Tony Parker*    7036
22.   Bob Cousy*    6955

Added in #21 and #22 to get Tony Parker and Cousy in there.

Harden is rocking up that list. If he can play another 2 years, he could crack the top 10 All-Time. Harden turns 36 years old this summer.

Anyways, heck of an achievement by Westbrook. He wasn't even a passing PG his first couple of years in the league. His improvement as a playmaker over his career has been incredible sight. I would never have guessed it after watching him as a 1st-2nd year player. The improvement in seeing passes, being willing to take risks. He creates so much.

Deni Avdija with another big game. He has been rolling for a few months now after a slow start to the season.

Since Dec 01, so 4 months with 48 games played, Avdija has averaged 18ppg 7.3rpg and 4apg against 2.9 turnovers.

He is shooting 49.6% FG% 38.8% 3PT% on close to 5 threes per game and 77.2% FT% on 5.6 FTAs per game. He is half as many FTAs (5.6 per game) as FGAs [11.8] so doing a great job of getting to the line. Nice shot distribution between the threes and FTs. 63.1% TS%. Plus he is a strong defensive player.

He has turned into a very good forward.

This is good news. Lowe is back.

Quote
Popular NBA writer and podcaster Zach Lowe is joining The Ringer after a six-month hiatus from covering hoops.

Lowe was part of a surprise wave of layoffs at ESPN last fall alongside Robert Griffin III and Sam Ponder, but now finds a new home with his old boss, Bill Simmons. The Ringer founder gave Lowe his first big shot back in 2011 at Grantland.

Since that time, Lowe grew into the premier NBA analyst online and one of the biggest podcasters at the Worldwide Leader. Lowe will write and podcast for The Ringer and Spotify, Simmons announced Sunday night on his podcast.

?Obviously, Zach is one of the best people I?ve ever worked with,? Simmons said, ?and I was really hoping at some point in life we would get to work together again. So it?s happening.?

Lowe?s new Ringer podcast will launch next week, and Simmons has already teased an NBA awards column before the end of the regular season.

Hoops fans have suffered without Lowe?s coverage during a season that saw young superstar Luka Dončić traded to the Los Angeles Lakers and, most recently, the surprise dismissal of Memphis Grizzlies mainstay Taylor Jenkins.

But just in time for the busiest part of the NBA calendar, he?s back.

One would imagine Lowe?s deal with The Ringer mimics that of Todd McShay, the former ESPN NFL Draft analyst who joined the audio and video network last year. McShay launched a podcast and YouTube channel with regular live streams, then a newsletter in February. By acting as a distribution platform and production studio ? rather than a digital magazine as it was at its inception ? The Ringer can compete for top talent the way that iHeartMedia and SiriusXM do.

It?s also likely easier for The Ringer to attract sports media stars like Zach Lowe with Simmons locked in. The Sports Guy was headed toward free agency in March before extending with Spotify earlier this year.

Great to hear. I'm sure there'll be some other good ESPN people moving over too because obviously they have to justify paying Stephen A, Perkins, etc.  ::)
