Miami Heat on primetime for b2b games this week, with ESPN. Nobody wants to watch them get creamed. Low ratings there

OKC did a good job of exposing Brook Lopez' lack of quickness on defense. I haven't seen many other teams do that well recently. MIL have been protecting him well lately.

The threat of SGA's driving game, their perimeter shooters, and Hartenstein's big game with his floaters on the PnR opened B Lopez up.

Dyson Daniels is only ONE steal away from surpassing Ricky Rubio for the most steals in a single-season since 2013/14. He is averaging 3.0 steals a game.

Daniels still has 14 games (in the regular season) in which to add to his tally.

New Orleans trading Daniels and a first for Murray looks completely insane in hindsight.

Smart move by AD. Get back on the court for a few weeks to boost stock and then ask for a trade over the summer.  ;)

Marc Stein: Anthony Davis is practicing with the Legends today and is very eager to return from his adductor strain before season?s end, league sources tell @TheSteinLine and @DLLS_Sports . Whether he actually does return, though, remains TBD amid concern about exposing Davis to re-injury.  via x.com

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

Yeah I don't think that idiotic front office and ownership realizes, but I think AD, Klay and possibly even Kyrie are all gonna demand out this offseason or the next one. They keep talking "win now" or "it's about 2026", lol good luck with that. It's a players league. They'll demand out and get it. Klay literally turned down more money from LA to come play with Luka and Kyrie in Dallas, I'm sure he's ticked too.

Kyrie's ACL injury makes that difficult but if he's mostly sitting out 2026 anyways he can just cash in at Dallas and then demand a trade the following offseason or something if something doesn't improve.

OKC is legit, but are they peaking too soon?

They look like Boston from 2023 - 2024. Just dominant all around.

But I still think OKC has that choke factor in them in the playoffs. They're a "see it to believe it" type for me.

I'm not seeing it for them this year. They are also getting insane contributions from their bench which wasn't the case the last few years. And Hartenstein was a huge addition for them, he does all the little things and gives them another frontcourt option alongside Chet. He's sort of their younger, more modern version of Al Horford IMO.

Btw, OKC is like 13 games above the 2 seed in the West. Kind of reminds me of last year's Celtics who finished like 14 games ahead of the 2 seed in the East, pure dominance. And yes, I know they lost to Dallas last year with Luka/Kyrie, but out West they were still the team that gave Dallas the most fits, and even Kyrie credited their ferocious defense for making things tough during the series.

I'm just glad OKC is on the West. If we do have to worry about them, it won't be until June anyways. If they beat the Lakers in the playoffs, I'll be throwing a parade too

Philadelphia 76ers' Paul George received injections in his left adductor muscle and left knee on Monday and has been ruled out for the rest of the season, sources tell ESPN. George is expected to be out at least six weeks.

Before the season started a silly 8 team parlay of heavy favorites to make the playoffs.  Philly was -2000 (much lower odds than any team in the West).  The East is so bad.  It?s crazy that they won?t even make a Play In.

BTW, I had Dallas as one of my 8 teams too, so I won?t be able to blame Philly 100%.

Celts were -100000 to make the playoffs!
Yup

110%

But I think you have to factor in how difficult it would be to get high quality talent to agree to play for New Orleans.

Despite starting Oshae Brissett at center, the Sixers had a 131-126 lead with 25 seconds to go and now that game is going to overtime.

Sixers are an embarrassment to the league.
