A schedule we don't see often in the NBA...three games postponed today.

Rockets/Hawks ppd due to winter storm in Atlanta

Spurs/Lakers and Hornets/Clippers games ppd due to LA fires

Embiid has missed 23 of Philadelphia's first 36 games. He's dealt with knee soreness, a sinus fracture, a three-game suspension and now the sprained foot.

The 76ers are 7-6 in the 13 games Embiid has played. The team is 8-15 in the 23 games that Embiid has missed this season.

Interesting to see the impact of Embiid even when badly (by his standards anyway).

The Philadelphia 76ers hope to have Joel Embiid back in the lineup soon. Sixers coach Nick Nurse said Embiid's sprained left foot isn't considered a long-term issue. The All-Star center could return as soon as Sunday.

Wow! After Haliburton left the game at halftime with hamstring issues, the Pacers absolutely obliterated the Cavs in the 2nd half  :o

Knicks obliterated the Bucks today, 140-106. Milwaukee had all their starters too.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

I know there was some pre-draft concerns about Filipowski given his family situation and the whole drama with his GF and the "grooming". But the guy has potential. Were we better off taking him instead of Scheierman given our need for PF/C help in the future.

Pretty good ad with Giannis, Wemby, and Tatum.  Tatum looks tiny.

Is this real life? The Cavs got smothered at home by the Pacers?

This Suns team is so weird. They have the talent (and Durant especially) yet they play like a garbage team and have a mediocre 18-19 record. No defense. And they have like 408M committed to this roster (yikes) when you combine the payroll + luxury tax they pay

This Jazz-Nets game is hilarious. Two teams clearly tanking but failing

Might go to a 2ND OT because of it

MEM vs HOU on now. I'd love to see them play against each other in a playoff series. Looks a fun matchup.

This Knicks defense is bad giving up 124 to a Ivey-less Detroit team. Detroit about to give us a gift with another win on the Knicks' home floor.

I am leaning towards Amen Thompson as the top wing defender in the NBA this season. Anunoby hasn't been as good. Neither as Jaden McDaniels in Minnesota. Or Mikal Bridges. I am going with Amen as the top wing defender in the NBA today.

I was thinking about my First Team All-NBA picks. I am going with Lu Dort as the 2nd wing alongside Amen. I give Amen the edge of Dort because of Amen's superior size / length. Wemby at center. Jaren Jackson as my big forward. Then Suggs at PG.

G: Suggs
G: Dort
F: Amen Thompson
F: Jaren Jackson
C: Wemby

I've said this a lot already, but Thibs is really just gonna run these guys to the ground. Knicks were on the 2nd of a B2B and still played all their starters 37+ minutes. They'll probably get fatigued, dinged up or out of steam come May in the playoffs again.

I don't like watching Wemby on offense. He is a lot of fun to watch on defense & rebounding but he annoys me on offense with how much time he spends so far away from the rim. Out at the three point line and trying to beat players off the dribble.

I remember young Dirk. His style of play didn't bother me. He was a superb jump-shooter. He lacked an interior game. Wemby doesn't lack interior scoring. He is a very good scorer inside of 15 feet, inside of 10 feet. Wemby can finish over anyone at 7 foot 5. Dirk did not have that. When Dirk developed that post game under Avery Johnson, he mixed his offense more and played with both an inside and an outside game. Wemby is far too reliant on his outside game for someone so potent inside.

It is boring. It is dumb basketball. Watching this 7 foot 5 guy make bad decisions over and over.

On offense, Victor seems to prefer playing like a guard instead of a big. Might not be pretty all the time, but he is having a monster season. Wemby is arguably a top 10 player in the NBA and it?s just his second year.
