Cavs taking it to the Nuggets in Denver putting up 80+ in the first half.

They?re a legitimate team, but I still feel like they?re a step below us given some of their matchup issues on the perimeter. I also feel like they?re still shooting a bit over their head.

Man this Cleveland team is just never gonna lose again are they? I still think OKC is our biggest overall threat but I think I might soon change it to Cleveland. From 1-5 I rank our threats in order as:

1. OKC
2. Cleveland
3. Orlando (if fully healthy)
4. New York
5. Memphis/Philadelphia depending on health

Cleveland is scary good though. Even in both our games this season it?s been close and down to the wire. These probably aren?t the same Cavs, they are continuing to grow and improve. And frankly they may already have the 1 seed in their grasp, only a horrid stretch from them might allow us to get it back but idk if that?s even gonna happen. About to be 27-4 and honestly they aren?t just beating other great teams but in some cases they are just dominating them.

Denver Nuggets coach Michael Malone didn't hold back in his reaction to the news of Sacramento Kings head coach Mike Brown's firing, ripping the team and owner Vivek Ranadive for exhibiting "no class.

"I'm not surprised that Mike Brown got fired, because I got fired by the same person," Malone said. "And what really p---ed me off about it was the fact that they lost [Thursday] night, fifth game in a row, I believe. Tough loss. ... They had practiced this morning. He does his postgame media, and he's in his car going to the airport to fly to L.A. and they call him on the phone.

"No class, no balls. That's what I'll say about that."

Yeah, several HC shared the same sentiments as Malone. Steve Kerr, Rick Carlisle, and Jordi Fernandez. Mike Brown helped turn the Kings franchise around and won COTY a couple years back. Then when the issues start piling they decided to dump him in the most disrespectful way possible.

Back to 20+ years of NBA purgatory for Sacramento. Take that beam somewhere else

Cavs are legit. Walked into Mile High and beat the Nuggets. They seem on pace to win 70 games at this point. Might as well just give them the 1 seed at this point. Boston needs to make sure they don't lose the 2 seed to New York.

Their schedule in January looks tough, but unfortunately so does ours. And CLE has been winning against tough teams anyways for the most part. New York's isn't bad in January but it does get really tough for them in the 2nd half.

Sengun had a big night against Gobert. 38pts on 16-25 FGA with 12reb. Gobert only 7pts 9reb 2blk.

Sengun beasted him.

Dallas win again without Luka. They have looked really good this season without Luka. Kyrie is doing a great job there.

With Luka = 13 wins 9 losses (48-49 win pace)
Without Luka = 7 wins 2 losses (64 win pace)

Their balance defensively looks much better with both Naji Marshall and PJ Washington in the starting lineup. I wonder if they try moving Klay to the bench in order to keep Naji in the starting unit. Would that give them the balance they need with Luka in the lineup?

I wouldn't change things at all, but sometimes I do daydream about what would have happened if we drafted Sengun instead of making the Horford trade.

Wow! Wembanyama on Twitter asked if people wanted to play chess with him in New York, and it was actually true. He was playing with people who came out in the rain. NBA account also confirmed it as did others who went. Very cool to see! I love Wemby (the player and person)

Dejounte Murray is having a shocking season.

* 36.5% FG% on 16 shots a night
* 27.5% 3PT% on 5 attempts per game
* 45.5% TS%
* 4.1 turnovers vs 7.5 assists

The 4.1 turnovers is shocking. In his last season in San Antonio, Murray averaged 9.0 assists per game and only 2.6 turnovers per game. That was his previous career high for turnovers.

Norm Powell has been balling for the LA Clippers

* 24.2ppg
* 49.5% FG% on 17 FGA
* 46.6% 3PT% on 8 threes a game
* 64.1% TS%

A career year from Norm Powell with Kawhi injured and PG13 leaving the team. Filling the scoring void. A big reason why the Clippers are 6th in the West with 18 wins and 13 losses. Overachieving.

Kornet does strike me as someone who plays chess  :laugh:

In fact the dude is lowkey a genius. I'm pretty sure Derrick White even said that Kornet got a 34 on his ACT (I remember a while ago studying so hard for it and getting a 33 both times lol, although "superscored" it became 34)
