I hate this 2nd unit for Minny

G: NAW
G: DiVincenzo
F: J McDaniels
F: Naz Reid
C: Gobert

There is no dribble penetration. No creative passers. Everything is done in front of the defense. They never get inside the defense and force the defense to help & recover. Get the defense off balance. This unit takes so many contested jump-shots. Especially 3s.

Bad basketball.

I wish Dillingham would get an extended run to see if he can help these 2nd units for Minny.

Wow, I was just checking the scores. Miami was up 20pts over Orlando at halftime and managed to lose. Orlando out-scored them 37 points to 8 points in Q4.

Only 8pts in Q4!!! Ouch!

Cole Anthony had 35pts 9ast 8reb off the bench. 13-25 FGA 7-7 FTA. 35pts in only 28 minutes.

Steph Curry with 3 straight threes to make a 2pt game late in the fourth quarter an 11pt lead. He hit a couple of FTs as well in between. Game Over.

Cade Cunningham was killing the Suns smaller guards in the post so they stuck Durant on him. No difference. Cade posted Durant up, knocked him back, lefty hook.

Speaks to how strong Cade has become physically that he is knocking Durant around inside. No intimidation. Durant is what 7 feet 230-240lbs with a 7-4 wingspan. Not an easy guy to post up for most wing sized players.

Crazy stat

Memphis leads in the league in transitions. They get a whoppin 27% of their points in transition. That is incredible.

Chicago is 2nd in the league at 23.4%. Then there is another drop-off with 3 teams between 20.3% and 20.7%. Those teams are Denver, Dallas, OKC, and Atlanta.

The rest of the league is evenly split between 15-20%.

That is a huge number Memphis is getting in transition and a massive lead over the trailing pack.

Last night's GSW/MIN game, Brandin Podziemski got a tech for telling ref drinks were spilled on the court.

Refs are hella sensitive nowadays

The Pelicans got a delay of game tech for towel boys trying to mop up in between plays.

Caruso has signed a 4yr $81 million extension.

$20mil per year. This seems to be the going rate for a high end bench player / low end starter. Average starters getting $30mil per year.

Pritchard is one of the biggest bargains in the NBA, at least among guys not on their rookie deal.

I'm unsure about this for OKC.  On its face it's not a terrible deal, but it does make it harder to keep the team together financially.

I don't like the Caruso deal much at all.  He's 30 and he's not the type of guy I'd bank on aging gracefully into his mid-30s.  He's a great defensive player right now, but he's reliant on athleticism and hustle and has a tendency to get himself hurt.  Age and injury tend to catch up to that kind of player a bit early.

He's also not hitting shots with OKC; small sample there but bears watching.

5pts, 3rebs, 2asst gets you $20 mil now

I thought this was a fun comment.

5.7ppg 2.9rpg 2.4apg. 20mpg. 1.9 steals in only 20 minutes. That is impressive. As Atzar said, on bad shooting numbers 38.5% FG% 27% 3PT%.

Disappointed in Ant's shot selection this season.

He is taking 50% of his shots from 3.
About 19% from midrange.
And 31% from inside of 10 feet / in the paint.

He is letting defenders off the hook by settling for so many 3s. He is shooting a good percentage but what he does so well that so few others can do is attack the basket. That is what makes him special.

In the summer there were comparisons between Ant and either Kobe Bryant or Vince Carter. I felt Ant was more Kobe Bryant. However this season, Ant is reminding me more of Vince. More settling on offense. Taking the easy way out. Not working hard enough for shots closer to the basket. Letting the defense off the hook. Vince Carter style.

TBF its extremely difficult to attack the basket when he's sharing the court with Randle/Gobert/McDaniels. Those guys are eitehr non/low volume shooters or just don't get respected. The Wolves messed up big time trading one of the best spacing bigs in the league for Randle.

The ref just ejected Embiid in a close game between Philly and San Antonio. The second tech was certainly warranted, but the first one was soft. This is becoming a major concern now, like the players can?t even question the calls. Silver has to fix this.
