Klay Thompson didn't look washed up to me tonight, 29 points including a dagger 3 to silence the crowd at Chase, his homecoming game

He's not washed up, but he also can't bring it every night anymore.  I mean, even disregarding contract, there's a real question on whether Thompson is as good as Payton Pritchard, and Pritchard is improving while Thompson is fading.

Jared McCain out indefinitely with meniscus tear that requires surgery.  Have the Sixers figured out how to make injuries contagious or do the basketball gods really, really hold a grudge for multi-year tanking?

Yeah it's insane. To be fair, PG13 and Embiid have been injury prone, but Maxey and now McCain are also getting hurt. Crazy.

Maybe the Sixers need a new training staff. I think the Celtics did this at one time when they kept having injuries. Was it Ed Lecert? Ed Lacerte...

I feel for McCain. He looked like a sure thing for ROTY.

The Pistons with an absolute choke job to allow Miami to come down from double digits in the last few minutes and send it to OT.

I will never understand a team being down 1 at the buzzer and choosing to take a 3.

I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

Give me Payton Pritchard any day of the week this year

Statistically PP is clearly better. 16.5, 3.6, and 3.3 with 48% overall and 43% from 3, compared to 14.0, 3.6, and 1.8 with 41% shooting and 39% from three.

And the 6?1? guard rebounds equally to the 6?5? wing.

But Klay can still shoot the three. I haven?t seen him with Dallas but I suspect their resurgence after so start is at least partly due to the team jelling with the addition of Thompson.
But definitely would rather have Pritchard.

Who we rooting for tonight - Bucks or Thunder?

While I can?t stand the thought of rooting for the Bucks with our history against them, I wouldn?t mind seeing OKC knocked down a peg with all the hype they?re getting lately.

A loss would also point to them having another lackluster showing in a big moment.

I would root for just about any team against OKC but I can't bring myself to root for Giannis. I do not like watching him or his teams play. I like them even less with Lillard there.

So OKC fan here tonight.

Shai is one of the few players in this league that legitimately terrifies me. He is close to unstoppable. So quick so crafty with the ball. Close to impossible to keep him out of the paint.

Hartenstein is such a smart passer. Quick passer too. Reads the court well and makes quick decisions.

Wow, what a shot by Lillard. Dribbles into the corner, fadeaway 3 over the outstretched hand. Beautiful.

The NBA's All-Star Game is going to be an All-Star tournament this season, with the league announcing Tuesday that it has finalized plans to use a different format for the upcoming midseason showcase in San Francisco.

And scoring is sure to be down -- way, way, way down.

This season's format is a four-team, three-game, one-night tournament, featuring three teams of eight All-Stars each, with the fourth team being the winner of the Rising Stars challenge for first- and second-year players. The winning team in all games will be the first to score 40 points.

I don't think this is the answer.
