A lot of bad shots by both teams in this Rockets vs Pistons game as well. Cade breaks the habit with a post up, spin move baseline and reverse layup. Nice.

Jalen Green's quickness is so impressive. If he ever stops settling for contested jump-shots and attacks the rim more often, he is going to be a major star. No more of these possessions where he beat his man but then stops his drive and takes a contested fadeway from 2. Just keep going to the rim. Nobody can stay in front of you. You are too quick. Drive.

Oooh that was a nice dunk by Jalen Green over Cade Cunningham to start off the fourth quarter. Facial.

M Beasley & T Hardaway are flamethrowers for the Pistons. They just get hot ever so often from 3 and change the rhythm of the game.

Tari Eason had another strong offensive game. It looks like he is putting it together. Becoming a complete player. A two way player. He has always been an impressive defender. He is a starting quality forward if this offensive growth is legit.

Huge offensive rebound and putback with a minute left by Sengun. He has killed the Pistons with Duren out injured. I Stewart and P Reed are doing good but they are not big enough to deal with Sengun. Sengun went for 26pts and 10reb on 11-16 FGA.

Houston had 17 offensive rebounds to only 32 defensive rebounds. About 1 in 3. Detroit had only 9 versus 36 defensive rebounds. 1 in 5. Detroit had 17 turnovers to only 11 for Houston. That was the game. Houston created more extra possessions.

Mathurin with an explosion yesterday against the Knicks. 38pts on 13-18 FGA 7-9 3PTA 5-6 FTA.

The Pacers have now played 10 games. 5 with Mathurin as a starter. They were 2-3 with him on the bench and now 3-2 with him as a starter.

In the previous 4 games as a starter, Mathurin was averaging 19ppg 7.5rpg only 2.3apg. That is now up to 23ppg in 5 games after that 38pt performance against NYK. He also had 8 rebounds against the Knicks so maintaining good work on the boards.

Chet Holmgren suffered a right iliac hip fracture and will be reevaluated in 8-10 weeks to see if he can play.

That's a dent to OKC's run for the West, and with how tough the West is, could get bad.

These tall lanky guys can't be counted on. This is why I wasn't on the "we better win before wimby takes over" because I don't think he'll have a long shelf life either.

Did Westbrook ever average a triple-double for a season? I cannot think of anyone else who might have.

There could be a real possibility the Celtics face the Cavaliers with them still undefeated next week.

You don't just start the year 11-0 out of "luck", the Cavaliers look dangerous. I'm not picking Boston to lose a potential playoff series against them if they face off, but I do think we definitely need Porzingis in that series to win it. The Cavs size + frontcourt is something that can give us trouble, and if they stay healthy and keep it up they won't be easy. I've seen some of their games too and they just look engaged and on a mission. I just don't get why people are sort of ignoring this or acting like it'll be a piece of cake against them (NOT saying it's only people on this forum, I'm talking social media and the fanbase as a whole)

The Bucks and Sixers may not be threats in the East this season. Knicks and Pacers were two I had as the "bigger threats" but now Cleveland is in that group for sure.

I remember Mutombo's Hawks winning 11 straight to start a season. Above average team. Not a great team. Similar to Cleveland today.

I do think the Cavs are a very good team but a step below the likes of Boston, New York and Philly (when healthy).

Cavs had a 17-1 stretch last season. They are the team that is going to go so hard for the top seed in the east. But I still do not trust them in the playoffs.

I want Cleveland undefeated coming to Boston. That would get this teams full attention. And I do not think the Cavs would win that game. Cavs are just the flavor of the month.

Cleveland is dangerous, and I think maybe more so than the Knicks and Pacers. They did go 17-1 to end the season last year. They've also beaten teams with superstars this season such as the Knicks, Lakers, Bucks in b2b games, and one of the West's best Warriors.

They look like the 2023-2024 Celtics
