Jared McCain looks like he?s going to be a stud for Philly. He was taken 16th overall in this years draft and is now starting. Jared is averaging 15ppg and shooting 40% from 3pt. The way he plays reminds me of Brunson a bit.

I expect Philly to go on a run now that they have Embiid and PG13 on the court together. Embiid, Maxey, PG13 is going to be a tough trio if/when healthy.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

McCain was an awesome get for Philly.

But that team is just a mess and about to fall to 2-11. Gonna be real tough for them to make a run especially when Embiid is already basically missing half the games.

Embiid looks really frustrated. He?s not getting the ball. Mc Cain looks like a bad fit as he?s a shoot first PG. When Embiid kicks it out and reposts, nothing happens as Mc Cain or PG shoots the ball. Embiid currently has 8 attempts compared to Mc Cain?s 16 haha. Nick Nurse has his work cut out for him.

Idk if it's realistic given PG13 signed there this offseason and I'm sure he wanted to team up with Embiid as part of it. But if you ask me, I think this deadline is the perfect time to just move on from Embiid. Build with McCain, Maxey and George while also adding a bunch of assets from a hypothetical Embiid trade.

It's not gonna happen for PHI this year and also, Embiid is basically telling the world he's only playing 40-50 games a year due to not playing B2Bs and his injury history. He still doesn't look 100% either right now, might still be hurt

You think Maxey and McCain can coexist though? I mean I?m sure both would want to be starters.

Rockets blew that game. Had an excellent play to get a wide open layup at the buzzer, but they throw a bad pass that Sengun couldn?t handle.

The  Philadelphia 76ers held a team meeting following Monday night's 106-89 loss to the Miami Heat.

The loss was the team's fourth in a row, sparking veteran guard Kyle Lowry to call for the meeting -- a much-needed heart-to-heart and a call to action and urgency, sources told ESPN. Players and coaches held each other accountable and took fault in the start to the season.

Maxey challenged Embiid to be on time to team activities, calling out the 2022-23 league MVP about being late "for everything" and how it impacts the locker room, from other players to the coaching staff, sources briefed on the meeting told ESPN.

Nurse needs them to play through Embiid I think. He can?t be relegated to just a rebounder. He looks uninspired inside the court. On the other hand, Embiid needs to be an example as the team?s captain. Looks like there?s a major disconnect between Embiid, the players, and the coaches. What are the chances of Embiid being traded?  Trade him and go after Cooper Flagg? What a mess Philly is in right now.

Lol that Sixers team is dysfunctional now.

They need to trade Embiid and go into "Capture the Flagg" mode

Pretty high. He just seems uninspired with the 76ers. Could look like a James Harden Rockets type exit.

Heard the Lakers are looking for a big man though...hope they don't have the pieces to pry him over because I don't wanna see a twin tower of AD at Power-Forward and Embiid at Center. They could probably, interestingly, unload LeBron and maybe Reaves as 76ers could still contend in the weak East with Maxey, Paul George, Reaves, and old-man vintage LBJ.

If I was the Cavs, I?d trade Garland for Jerami Grant. They need a legitimate wing player.

Mitchell, Okoro, Grant, Mobley, Allen.

It?s hard to imagine them trading LBJ though. Which teams have enough assets and contracts to snag Embiid? Maybe OKC?

I almost feel sorry for Philly. Hinkie clearly saw that the game is rigged: you get enough high picks, you will eventually land a superstar. Embiid has been a superstar no doubt, but he is deeply flawed, both healthwise, and characterwise.

At the same time, I hope that Philly do not contend for more than 10 years. Thanks.

Dalton Knecht is starting for the Lakers and Filipowski is starting for Utah.
