BREAKING: The Brooklyn Nets have agreed in principle on a trade to send F Mikal Bridges to the New York Knicks for Bojan Bogdanovic, four unprotected first-round picks, a protected first-round pick via Bucks, an unprotected pick swap and a second-rounder, sources tell ESPN.

Jesus? Five first rounders??

The Nets are gonna hit the jackpot if this doesn?t work out for the Knicks. Does this mean Randle is gone?

That's a big win now move for the Knicks.  They're also recreating the Villanova national championship squad.

Combined with the four unprotected first rounders the Nets got from the Suns with along Bridges, they have really won the Kevin Durant trade.

It will be interesting to see what else the Nets get when they pawn off Bogdanovic again too

New York will now hard capped at the $189.5M 2nd apron in 2024-25.

Not sure the Knicks can afford to lose hartenstein. I would let OG walk or trade Randle.

My brain isn't working right now.  Why is this?

Another massive deal: Brooklyn has a deal with Houston to return the Nets? 2026 first-round pick for a 2027 Phoenix Suns first-round pick, sources tell ESPN. Rockets also acquire 2025 right to swap Houston/OKC first for 2025 Suns first-round pick. More details coming on picks deal.

I have said before, I think NY will be one of our biggest threats in the East next season especially if they stay healthy and can keep most of their guys. Idk who they keep but if they keep 2 of Randle, OG and Hartenstein that?s still a deep and talented roster

The implications of the Rockets landing the Suns' picks?  Houston wants to trade for Kevin Durant and that becomes far easier if they can return the Suns' picks that they gave up in the Durant deal to the Nets. Suns have said they're keeping Durant for now, but that could change next season. But now, Houston has the picks to make the Suns whole again.

Huh.  Wouldn't Phoenix prefer the rebuilding Nets #1?

Quote
The Nets have reacquired their 2025 first-round pick swap and unprotected 2026 first-round pick from the Rockets, per @wojespn. Brooklyn is sending Houston a 2025 Suns swap, 2027 Suns pick and a 2029 pick swap to begin their rebuilding efforts

Did Houston not know about the Bridges deal when it agreed to this trade?  Brooklyn could be a bottom-5 team the next two seasons.

Look at the Nets try to avoid having their own draft pick be a lottery winner for another team again as happened in 2016 and 2017.  Looks like they?re planning on a multi-year tank.

WOW now that?s wild. But I would love it for Houston. Young team, Ime Udoka as coach, Durant feels like a great fit for them

More woj

As intrigued as the Rockets have been about Durant, they're determined to use the Suns picks to be aggressive on deals elsewhere now, sources tell ESPN. Phoenix has made it clear that they want to run it back with this group, and Houston is seeking a major upgrade now.
