Good writeup by a Mavs fan about the problems our team presents defensively.

The C's should win this series. The biggest issue for Dallas is they cannot consistently limit dribble penetration. They don't have the personnel to do it. Luka was exhausted by the end of the 3rd quarter. Even after some rest he got routinely blown by.
As long the C's attack, play smart, and limit turnovers, they will win in 5. Maybe 6.
5 or 6? Mavs will be lucky to win one game. How are they going to win two?
People do realize the team that wins the first 2 games have lost the finals plenty of times right?
I like where the Celtics are at but all of a sudden the narrative changing that the mavs are overrated and don?t stand a chance to even win a game are starting to irritate me.
Dance in their grave when the series is actually over.
I mean, while some posters here who?ve talked up other teams all season while the Celtics won 64 games with a massive point-differential and then cruised through three rounds of the playoffs, others of us had different expectations of how this series might go. We looked at a Dallas roster that had two players you could and should hunt on defense, and have watched the Celtics do exactly that. The strategy was obvious, and the Mavs have had no answer, because there is no answer for them. They need both Luka and Kyrie on the floor, so all they can do is hope that the Celtics will miss a sufficient number of the many great looks they?re going to get and Luka magic will win them games. And then they went and lost a game where the Celtics did miss those shots, and we haven?t yet had a game where the Celtics make even more of them than normal. The Mavs have no chance. They might win a game, because maybe they get another game where the C?s miss everything again, or they can?t miss on offense, but they aren?t going to win the series, and they aren?t going to win 2 of the next 3 to send it to 6, because they are who they are, and who they are is a team that is in over its head.
They remind me a lot of the 2016 Celtics with IT. Like Luka, IT had a borderline MVP year on offense, and they were able to hide him on defense for the early rounds. But then they ran into an opponent who knew what they were doing, and went after a hurt IT on defense every time down the court. The Celtics still stole a game, as the Mavs might, and hopefully Luka isn?t as hurt as IT was, but the Mavs are simply of a lesser class than the Celtics.
The narrative about the Mavs isn?t changing ? more people are just realizing truly who the Celtics are and who the Mavs are. You haven?t yet, obviously.
