Hauser has impressed me with his ability to defend.  #whoknew!

There were a bunch of folks on this board when Sam first came to Boston that were literally judging his defense based on the color of his skin.

He learned to play defense from the master, Tony Bennet.  UVa has cranked out more DPOY in the ACC in the past 15 years than any other team.

Hauser is not an exceptional defender, but he has solid fundamentals and footwork, and knows how to slide his feet and play strong.  He's not a liability, but instead a good, hard-working defender that you can't target like you can someone like Luka.

I wanted us to pick him with that 45th pick but we picked Juhann Begarin. I was so glad we grabbed him as a free agent... I also wanted Austin Reeves but I didn't know he had a back room deal with the Lakers!

Glade to know it?s not MY equipment failing

It's a known issue with a recent db upgrade (long story short, supporting the old version was racking up quite the hosting bill, but I also wanted to make the minimal changes possible in case something might break in the middle of The Finals)

I'd imagine it'll be an easy fix shortly after The Finals are over, but will just look a little funky in the meantime (all the formatting is correct in the database, so it should be a retroactive fix as well)

Tech field, can relate to that reasoning. We'll put up with the workaround till finals are over. Good call.

I think it?s a worse look if he DOES play tonight.  How much could he have possibly healed in 48 hrs? If he can play tonight, he should?ve been able to play in game 3, which was more important

It's not an injury that will heal without surgery, but it's possible that swelling going down could reduce the chance for complications. Or that they found the right brace/tape to reduce the risk of making things worse down to a minimal level.

But honestly, I don't think there's any chance he plays tonight. We don't need him tonight, so risking his long-term health would be extremely short-sighted
I'm bitter.

This run is proving that Danny and Brad were right. You can win a ring without elite play from the bigs. Drafting Tatum and Brown was the right move, even if they do some similar things.
The only real mistake is the one from which we learn nothing.

I don't think we've ever question those draft choices, other than people salivating over Kris Dunn in the Brown class.

But drafting Tatum was a master class from Ainge. Of course, Tatum himself may feel differently about being picked #3 lol.

I always wondered...what would it have been like if we didn't go after Hayward that summer and pursued Jimmy Butler or Paul George via trade. The Wolves gave up a small package for Butler if I recalled lol

Not sure that package was too small.  They sent Lavine, who was entering his fourth year, and had just had a 19 ppg season at age 21, Dunn, who had been picked 6th the prior year, and pick 7 of Tatum?s draft, which became Markkanen.  Certainly we could have beaten it if we wanted to do so, but Chicago didn?t come away empty-handed.

He was cheap the next year when he forced his way out of Minny the following year, however.

Porzingis is doing warmups and testing his ankle but tbh it looks like very light stuff and he?s not doing that much. I think he will remain out tonight
