I'd let him suit up for Game 4, but I wouldn't play him.  I just think it would be cool for him to be in uniform if we do clinch.

Hauser has impressed me with his ability to defend.  #whoknew!

He was fundamentally sound in all aspects of the game went we signed him and he's only gotten better. He knows where he should be at all times.

I thought he?d have an impact game and I?m really glad for him that he did.  All year teams have been realizing that he?s not a slouch defensively.  Surprisingly effective.

PP, who always gives great effort on both sides of the ball, really needs to make some baskets in G4 (or later if it goes beyond 4), or I bet he?ll have a rough off-season thinking about his performance.  I have no problem with his performance- I just think he may be the kind of person to get down on himself.

Pritchard is the kind of guy that goes back into the gym in the off season and works his ass off.

Agreed. Suit him up, and that also allows for the break the glass emergency option if several of our bigs including Horford foul out and we really need someone out there to close this out

If Porzingis can play and the Doctors say he can then he should. If not Tillman is a solid option for 10-12 minutes.

I know it will motivate him.  Great to have him on the team.

Brad's number one priority is finding a big that can shoot from three to add to the bench next season as insurance for KP.

We already have a player like that but Joe won't play Tillman.

What a weird take.  Tillman is a career 27% 3-point shooter and has shot under 30% each of the last three seasons.  And Joe actually played him last night.

Tillman needs to take thousands of 3s this summer with a shooting coach and he could be that guy. Tillman is a really good defender and a good match-up against the Mavs.

I didn't realize he had such a low career %. I was under the impression he was a decent shooter.
Liam makes a good point - have Tillman do what Grant Williams did, which is to make himself a good 3-point shooter with off-season work.

As for Tillman's playing last nite - that is the first time Joe has put him on the court for any length of time during meaningful minutes.
One appearance is not the same as consistent minutes. When Joe was forced to give Hauser and Pritchard more time, they blossomed.

So the Celtics twitter account posted an eyeball emoji with the video of Porzingis practicing.

I don't see why they would post that if he wasn't playing tomorrow night... they didn't do this before Game 3 either and the last time they did was days before Game 1 before he was deemed available for sure.

PP is getting hunted like crazy.

Agree about Tillman and off-season shooting bonanza. Cost-controlled for next year..

Having him suit up and ready to go also means the Mavs will be thinking about him, even if he doesn't play. I like that.

hope its not a mistake playing him. unless doctors feel there is nothing worse he can do. this playoff run we don't need him. or maybe they'll dress him and play him an obligatory 10minutes in a closing game if we are up so he doesn't feel left out sitting on the bench if we close and the confetti falls

but we may probably need him if we want to go for it again next year. who knows what the east will look like.
