Mac Jones lighting it up again. Goes to show what a great O-Line and weapons can do for you. Again, I don't think he's an elite QB but I also don't think he was "worse than all other 31 starting QBs" level bad. The Pats just had a horrible O-Line, no elite receivers and poor coaching (Patricia, Judge, and even Belichick slipped in recent years).

I'm watching some of the game and he's making throws that I don't think he could in New England because he had no time to throw AND the receivers for JAX are actually catching them (not like Devante Parker or JuJu Smith-Schuster just dropping them)

Funny how that works.

It's also preseason.  Brett Rypien has looked like a stud.

Sure, but we can compare how Mac looks in preseason to the other QB?s who are also playing in preseason. Mac has looked better than both Brissett and Maye.

Mac may be in the same range as Brissett. A solid NFL back up. But this is the 4th preseason for Mac and the 1st for Maye.  I am not drawing any conclusions from this sample size.

Not sure how you figure that. Brissett and Maye have zero passing TD?s in preseason. Mac has 3 with a much higher passer rating in every game. Jacoby has not been good. Maye has done very little when it comes to passing.

Mac?s rookie year was also better than any season Jacoby has ever had. I wouldn?t be surprised if another team like Minnesota makes a trade for Jones. In the right system, he could be a good starter again.

Deciding on $4 1st row balcony seats or $10 100-level seats. I know it's only the preseason, but it's a lot harder to go to Pats games no longer living in New England

FWIW - very nice throw by Brissett. Hard to understand the attempted one-handed catch by Osborn. Easily could have had 2 hands on it.

The O-Line and backup Center blow. But GREAT DRIVE Drake Maye and the receivers! Touchdown  ;D

Maye can run and pass, need a new backup center.

I?m glad they?re holding - keep Drake alive. Even with holds and illegal formations that give the Oline an extra step, Maye has no time.

It's criminal negligence that you have 50M in cap space and yet this is the O-Line. No tackles. And a few mediocre guys and a terrible backup center to go along with it. Terrible.

Btw, Washington is basically playing their backups and 3rd stringers too. And they are just abusing our O-Line every snap.

I skipped out after the 3rd quarter thinking the Pats had were looking good at 10-7. What the heck happened in the 4th?!

The only half that mattered was the 1st with Maye and he looked really decent out there. I can't believe they blew that awesome scramble and pass for an end of half TD with an illegal formation.

$10 seats 9 rows from the field. I don't know that I've ever been 9 rows away from any field/court/ice. Gotta love preseason!
