There's a lot of talent on these other teams now, not just Philly. Gonna make things even tougher, even in the East alone.

The Charlotte Hornets are waiving former No. 8 pick Rob Dillingham, sources told ESPN's Shams Charania on Monday.

At some point you have to blame the performance on the court on the players on the court. Every loss is not the coach's fault and every win isn't because of the players.

The Denver Nuggets and Ryan Nembhard have agreed to a two-way deal, league sources told @hoopshype. Nembhard averaged 6.6 points and 5.3 assists in 60 games, including 27 starts, for the Dallas Mavericks last season.

Blazers hired & fired their new TV announcer on the same day after some racist & misogynistic tweets he made at the age of 15 were uncovered. Not to excuse the guy at all but this was 13 years ago and he was 15. I don't know how I feel about this.  I think each & every one of us probably did & said several regrettable things at that age.

I agree with you. I haven't seen any incidents in his career.  For those of us with children, this is a lesson that what you say on social media will stay with you.

I'll also add, it's kind of a jerk move by the Blazers in the sense that they may have just derailed his career too by doing this quickly after supposedly hiring him. And did they not do a thorough background check to begin with?

Their announcement also got community noted:

The Portland Trailblazers have a history of employing players who used racial slurs while employed by them and have hired players with previous violent felony sex convictions.

They do not have zero tolerance for racist or sexist comments.

I'm not defending the actions, BUT it was 13 years ago and again, it sounds like they didn't do a thorough background check to begin with and then panicked when it surfaced. Meanwhile this guy's career is probably derailed because of the way this unfolded within 24 hours

Their announcement is very contradictory because they claim they have zero tolerance for racism comments etc, but based on their history, they DO NOT have zero tolerance for racist/sexist comments.

Who knows, maybe the guy that they fired was a MAGA-type back then and he finally changed his behavior after 13 years? People/teens def say weird things at that age too? But agreed with the above comment that whatever you post on social media stays forever.

Either way, Portland failed to do their DD and makes their organization look awkward.

Shams Charania: The Memphis Grizzlies and guard Jordan Hawkins have mutually agreed to part ways, allowing the 2023 lottery pick to find a new home in free agency once he clears waivers, sources tell ESPN.

LeBron says he might have gone to the Knicks if they had not won the title last year.

I betcha he was hoping they'd lose last year, just so he could swoop in and claim the glory (if they won the title this year).

I do not know how that would have worked.

The Knicks front-court would have been Towns & LeBron. That combo would have offered very little defence and no rim protection. Adding LeBron to the Knicks would have pushed Anunoby or Bridges to the bench, destroying their core balance. The only way I could have seen LeBron working out in New York, would be to trade Towns and keep Mitchell Robinson.

Brunson
Bridges
Anunoby
James
Robinson

I actually think LeBron was originally planning on returning to Cleveland, but their recent roster construction (trading Garland for Harden) scuttled that option. I always thought the Cavs best chance at winning a title (before the Harden trade) was either trading Mobley for Brown, or trading Allen for Wiggins, and then signing LeBron in free agency.
